Role and Responsibilities
The Regional Field Operations Manager (RFOM) serves an essential supporting role in the execution of Samsung's retail go-to-market strategy with the Wireless and Mobile Computing field sales teams. This role with partner closely with Regional & District Managers and Corporate support teams to ensure the timely and efficient execution of retail initiatives.
The RFOM will collect and analyze operational data and provide the Regional Manager (RM) and District Managers (DM) with reporting essential to address any gaps in performance or compliance; identify opportunities to increase sales performance or reduce expense through improved execution or increased efficiency; ensures Samsung assets and budgets are utilized appropriately within the Region; provides administrative support for regional events and new hire onboarding.
Duties and Responsibilities:
40% - Scheduling Compliance & Initiatives Management
Analyzes Field Sales Manager scheduling data and develops weekly reporting on FSM & MM scheduling compliance and effectiveness; identifies gaps in compliance or efficiency;
Tracks all in-progress initiatives within Region and provides reporting to Regional Manager on progress towards completion.
Documents and escalates all barriers to timely completion of field initiatives to Corporate support teams.
Evaluates all requests for in-store and out of store staffing support from Carriers and Account Management against available capacity; partners with District Managers to assign approved staffing requests to an FSM.
Analyzes Samsung Experience Consultant scheduling and labor reporting against business needs; partners with District Managers and 3PL operations teams to address any gaps.
30% - Field Efficiency & Effectiveness
Collects, analyzes, and reports on Field Sales Team training compliance
Tracks completion of field leadership ride-along completion and provides reporting to leadership.
Reviews output of District Manager ride-along assessments and ensures scoring is calibrated across region.
Aggregates weekly market intelligence reports from Field Sales Managers, produces final deck.
Collects data on Field Sales Manager effectiveness through quarterly VOC calls and in-store visits.
Develops best practices and standard tools to improve operational efficiency.
20% - Budget & Asset Management
Approves all orders for promotional materials (Blue Door) and ensures they are within budget and appropriate to business needs.
Tracks and reports on quarterly FSM/MM social and Blue Door spend vs. budget
Drafts budget requests in partnership with the Regional Manager and Business Planning.
Maintains inventory of all Samsung assets distributed to Field Sales Managers, supports Corporate Asset Management team with distribution and retrieval of assets.
Manages semiannual audit of all Samsung assets distributed to Field Sales Managers.
Manages the post-reset asset recovery process for all Best Buy locations in Region.
5% - Event Planning and Logistics
Coordinates all event logistics including securing meeting/event space, agenda planning and travel arrangements.
Partners with carrier account teams and account management on all regional carrier events.
Coordinates all Post-NHO onboarding activities for Field Sales team
5% - Business Systems Administration
Grants access to company CRM tool for new users; Grants access to secondary territories in CRM tool for existing users
Supports territory remapping and store reassignment process, in partnership with Business Planning and Process Innovation teams.
Maintains up-to-date contact lists and shipping addresses for all individuals in Region.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent with 5-8 years of directly related experience; Bachelor's degree preferred
Extensive retail and/or direct sales management experience required
3-5 years in wireless industry desirable, though not required
Prior experience in Retail Operations or Project Management preferred.
Proven ability to demonstrate good judgment and initiative, make decisions and problem solve
Strong leadership capabilities with effective, professional communication and presentation skills
Ability to work autonomously with excellent time management skills.
Must have experience with Microsoft Office and extensive experience analyzing data and creating reports using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between 50% - 95% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity. The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include printers, copiers, faxes, and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area. May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Must be able to travel 30% of the year to various markets across the US.
