As a Regional Facilities Manager, you'll lead a team responsible for all aspects of facilities services and operations in the Bay Area. Your high-level management abilities, strategic thinking and leadership skills allow you to manage service delivery across functions, departments and businesses. You're comfortable working in a matrixed organization, building trust in difficult situations, getting buy-in and consensus from leaders with diverse opinions, driving decision making where trade-offs are required, and keeping information circulating so that REWS can grow with Google. You'll manage, develop and motivate a team of Facilities Managers who are responsible for the operations of a subset of buildings and facilities in each campus. The team provides support and partnership to help the client-facing REWS teams solve complex workspace challenges and achieve outcomes that exceed our client's' expectations.

The Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) team creates inspiring spaces and innovative services that bring Google's culture and values to life. We build and maintain all aspects of what keeps our Googley workspaces operating seamlessly across multiple cities and regions globally. We also manage the industry-leading services that help make Google a great place to work -- from how we design healthy and collaborative workspaces, create energizing food experiences, provide convenient transportation and fitness options, to delivering inclusive environments where Google and our employees can thrive.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 9 years of facility management and service experience with an emphasis on facilities, hospitality, corporate services, property management or equivalent office management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in related field.

  • Industry related certifications (CFM, FMA).

  • Experience overseeing and governing facilities budgets with financial, agreement management, and purchasing skills.

  • Proven record of impacting strategic change and initiatives.

  • Ability to think 'out of the box' and bring creative, nonstandard, and innovative solutions to the table.

  • Advanced people management and leadership skills, with proven ability to influence at all levels and across business lines.

  • Act as a subject matter expert, become a trusted partner, build relationships with business leaders and cross-functional teams to enhance the employee experience.

  • Communicate strategies to executive management through timely, relevant, thorough, and tailored communication.

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Google facilities teams who oversee a vendor partner for Facilities Services.

  • Collaborate with peers to ensure consistency and best practices across regions, while consistently innovating to improve effectiveness of our facilities.

  • Manage individual and team performance, focusing on developing future talent and leaders in the organization.
