Job Description

Summary

This Estimator will report to the Procurement Manager and will work with both clients and internal staff including the VP of Sales, Account Executives, Operations and Administrative staff on site analysis of existing and prospective accounts. The goal will be to ensure excellent customer service, enhance existing relationships and stimulate new business. The Estimator will aid the sales staff as needed in helping develop, design, and present proposals to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with sales staff and project managers to assure qualifications of prospective bids, accuracy of takeoffs and project specifications.

  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet fast pace quoting schedules, operate self sufficiently and be detailed oriented.

  • Create most cost-effective estimates within Timberline estimating software program

  • Tracking client requests

  • Organizing weekly meetings with regional account executives

  • Accurately read and interpret blueprints and specifications to facilitate collection of pertinent information and quantity measurements for the bidding process.

  • Develop Pavement Management Plans (PMP)

  • Take Pictures

  • Create Site Plans

  • Construct Analysis

  • Identify existing site issues and provide recommendations and cost analysis.

  • Build relationships and negotiate with current vendors and suppliers

  • When necessary, aid the sales staff in any presentations of proposal to the client.

  • Work with Field Operations to ensure accuracy of work to be performed prior to execution.

  • Attend meetings that are deemed necessary.

  • Support Rose Paving's Goals and Values

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 1-3 years of experience pertaining to Construction Estimating

  • Experience with Timberline and ProEst Estimating Software is a Plus

  • Possess a Basic Understanding of pavement maintenance methods

  • Possess understanding of all computer systems, specifically Microsoft Office, Power Point, photo shop and internal accounting, estimating, and CRM.

  • Basic understanding of Business practices and procedures to adhere to the Rose Paving Core Values and Competencies.

As a company, we continue to make great strides in exceeding industry, customer, and employee expectations Job Description Summary We are seeking a professional Construction Project Manager to complete pavement maintenance projects by developing and evaluating project plans and implementing them. Primarily, the person will manage budgets and overall scheduling of crews, subcontractors (when applicable) and jobs to insure that each project is completed on time and on budget. The Project Manager will handle high profile projects subcontracted to other organizations, while providing top level customer service as a liaison to the end user. Responsibilities * Establishes project objectives by analyzing project proposal. * Establishes project plan by determining time frame, funding, creating project schedule. * Organizes projects by working with a subcontractor. * Establishes and achieves financial objectives by preparing a project budget; schedules and approves expenditures analyzes variances; initiates corrective actions. * Approves project specifications by analyzing project design, customer requirements and performance standards (traffic flow, staying on schedule, etc). * Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends and reporting items to the team. * Tracks client and subcontractor interactions with customized CRM program. * Work hand in hand with customers to maintain partnership though scheduling and project completion. * Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies. * Maintains safe and clean working environment by establishing and enforcing procedures, rules and regulations. * Maintains project database by developing information requirements. * Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations; coordinates with government regulatory agencies. * Other duties may be assigned on an as-needed basis. Requirements: * Strong understanding of math. * Experience in construction trades is preferred, not necessary. * Project Management experience preferred. * Timberline experience helpful, but not required * M. degree preferred. * Must have excellent leadership experience, sense of urgency and a natural ability to work in a fast paced and growing environment. * Must have ability to interact effectively with clients. * Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Internet * Must be comfortable with hands-on environment of high communication. * Extensive travel required up to 80%.
