We are a team constantly striving to build and improve our demand planning process. To jump into this team, you are a curious, motivated and enthusiastic individual who thrives in a constantly growing environment. You are someone who is highly flexible and able to adapt to sudden change. You love jumping into data and evaluating trends and collaborating cross functionally with multiple teams such as the Supply, Hardware, Product Management, Sales and Finance teams, to resolve product sales forecast for future 12 months.


  • Proactively plan product shipments from manufacturers, via air and sea, to distribution centers for regional demand fulfillment.

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels at each DC, avoiding all shortages, and avoiding or minimizing transfers.

  • Work closely and cross-functionally with Supply Planning team and Shipping (Demand Fulfillment) teams to assure supply at the DC's, avoiding impact to customer shipments.

  • Establish reserve/safety stocking policies for certain SKUs to assure same day fulfillment. Establish and measure KPIs of in-stock performance.

  • Operational analytics will be required. You are comfortable with making operational recommendations to a variety of cross-functional peers and stakeholders, and to base recommendations and actions on verifiable data analysis.

  • The Regional Distribution Specialist will cross train with the Allocation Specialist to guarantee coverage.


  • BS or BA, preferably in a relevant field such as Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Data Analytics

  • 4-5 years of professional experience in Logistics, Planning, Supply Chain, Finance, Demand Fulfillment, or related fields.

  • Interest in wireless networking products

  • Be able to work well within a team as well as having a strategic mindset and being hardworking as an individual

  • Advanced Excel capabilities e.g. Pivot tables, chart creation, and presentation of data; dB knowledge and reporting experience a plus

  • APICS certification or training a plus.

VIEW JOBS 10/13/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-11T00:00 The general purpose of the Genentech Patient Foundation (Foundation) Business Lead - Shipping and Distribution is to lead or represent Foundation policies and activities in key areas including shipping, Bulk and Batch shipment processing, programs with key external partners as well as act as the Foundation liaison to our internal vendor management teams managing distribution vendors. These activities are to be carried out in full alignment with Genentech Patient Foundation Policies, Mission and the evolving external market drivers impacting patients. This role plays a key role in setting the overarching approach and strategy for the Foundation to support effective delivery of free medicine to patients and providers as well as ensure effective and appropriate engagements with key external partners. This role is crucial to ensuring optimal creation and execution of policy, infrastructure and tactics in support in these areas. Key Accountabilities Include: * Act as overall lead for criteria, policy and strategies related to setting and executing shipping, bulk and partner programs for Foundation shipping and distribution. * Take a forward-looking approach to determine emerging opportunities and needs for future Foundation shipping, bulk programs and external partner engagements. * Set up and manage infrastructure that enables effective SAP utilization by Foundation team. * Recommend changes to areas of accountability in consultation with Legal, Compliance, Access Solutions and GPF LT. * Partner with other AS teams, including Operations, Design Leads, and Cross-Portfolio to ensure effective pull-through of program needs across appropriate partner functions. * Maintain operational aspects of programs including all criteria, SOPs and practices in alignment with GPF Policy and other applicable GNE policies * Assist in incorporating program requirements as required. * Proactively communicates with internal and external partners to ensure ongoing alignment and understanding of policies, tactics and implications of these programs. * Understands internal and external stakeholders point a view, communicates effectively and ensures alignment on business objectives * Act in complete & total compliance with all laws, regulations and policies The successful candidate will demonstrate the following competencies critical to this role: * Technical & Business Expertise - Seeks opportunities to streamline and improve business operations * Strategic Agility - applies forward looking approaches to managing the business * Teamwork & Collaboration - Helps resolve conflicts constructively and are able to pull people together around a common goal. * Achieving Results - Clearly conveys objectives, deadlines and expectations.
