What You're Applying For:

The Regional Director manages a group of sales representatives who consult with, support, and sell Edmunds' dealer products to automotive retailers in defined geographic territories. The Regional Director ensures consistent results, sets best practices, and assists in the sales and support activities of the sales representatives who are responsible for consulting with dealership management and Internet department staff regarding on-line best practices and reinforcing the Edmunds value proposition. The Regional Director is expected to be hands on to meet established objectives in their territory for market penetration, customer retention and customer satisfaction. As a representative of the Edmunds brand in the marketplace, the Regional Director must not only be professional and talented, but they should also have a healthy respect for automotive retailers and a passion for improving the car buying experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage and mentor a group of digital sales professionals in a defined geographic region

  • Serves as an authoritative and convincing specialist of the merits of the Edmunds Product Suite to both the sales professionals presenting the product and the automotive dealerships acquiring and utilizing the product

  • Ensure broad customer satisfaction by responding quickly and accurately to escalated dealer problems, concerns or needs and following thru on prompt resolution

  • Provide in-depth analyses and reports regarding sales professional's performance within the region to Divisional and Corporate management

  • Broadly manage and monitor all regional contracts as well as account receivables

  • Lead weekly Sales meetings with regional team to socialize product and sales strategy developments

  • Mentor the sales professionals within a defined geographic region in sales tactics and account management and maintenance activities

  • Provide written and verbal feedback to the product and operational teams on new product ideas and/or suggested modifications to existing products

What You Need:

  • 7 to 10 years of professional direct sales experience

  • 5 + years managing a team of direct sales professionals

  • Demonstrated ability to understand, teach, and execute upon innovative sales campaigns that utilize sophisticated data analysis and marketing concepts to establish market differentiation

  • History of success with B2B sales

  • Willingness and ability to travel on a frequent basis within a defined territory to support a regional team in maintaining and furthering sales penetration; 20% travel

  • Strong business consulting, analysis and reporting skills

  • Ability to work independently from a remote/home office

  • Motivated self-starter with the desire to succeed in a fast-paced rapidly growing company

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

  • This position will support the Southern California region. Candidates must reside in one of the major metropolitan areas within this region.

Job Summary As the Regional Sales Manager (RSM), you will be responsible for maximizing the sales of Nuance imaging products, delivering on the objectives for revenue, bookings, and pipeline generation in your region. The Regional Sales Manager will need to have hunter mentality to establish and maintain prominent level relationships with our partners and develop deep end customer relationships through systematic interaction directly with existing customers and prospects. Principal duties and responsibilities: * Meet or exceed annual, quarterly, and monthly sales objectives (revenue, bookings, pipeline generation) for the region- Work with vendors to drive end customers engagements to drive the sale of Nuance products and professional services- RSM will need to work with vendors to create strategies, train and lead vendors in sale of Nuance products. Additionally, RSM's will need to be able to change and implement strategies quickly. - Build and manage a sufficient opportunity pipeline to meet bookings commitments for the region- Create and implement a regional sales plan in conjunction with vendor sales leadership that is designed to promote Nuance product sales.- Create, own and maintain full sales opportunities and activities in Nuance's forecasting/CRM system ( Own the channel relationships at all levels of our vendor partners- Enhance partner productivity and engagement, as measured by, bookings, end user engagement level and pipeline generation.- Conduct regular performance management and strategy sessions with partners(s) towards the overall objective of building pipeline, driving bookings and increasing the number of end user engagements.- Nuance RSM to use Matrix Management to drive strategy with vendor with the end result being to drive bookings, pipeline growth and end user engagement. - Perform tasks related to securing and keeping the products, tools, and processes that you are responsible for securing Education: Bachelor's degree or higher Minimum years of work experience: 8+ years sales experience Required skills: * Proven track record of exceeding annual targets- Hunter mentality needed to deliver region revenue and pipeline targets- Track record of selling into enterprise accounts, managing vendor/ partners and complex account management, sales planning and exceeding quota- Ability to exercise influence without authority- Analytical skills for pipeline management and forecasting- Demonstrated ability to engage with key personnel within channel partners- Experience in leading 3rd party sales teams to sell your product- Ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences- Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations- Excellent written and verbal communications skills- Bachelor's degree or higher - Ability to travel at least 75% Preferred skills: * Strong sales & technical ability to demonstrate and white board complex solutions with customers and partners- Strong presentation skills- Experience selling enterprise print management, capture solutions, ECM and/or BPM Additional Information Nuance offers a compelling and rewarding work environment.
