Our team of Medical Science Liaisons educate healthcare providers on our respiratory medicines, and it is the job of the RDM to help achieve high quality outcomes and impact with their medical experts through high performance with opportunities aligned to their development aspirations.

The Regional Director of MSLs is responsible for the development and execution of the regional medical strategy for a Medical Unit. This position provides strategic direction and leadership to the regional Field Medical team. It requires proactive decision making and leading initiatives compliantly in the region, requiring cross functional communication and alignment with key stakeholders.

  • Develops and leads regional customer-centric medical strategies for relevant products in Medical Unit portfolio in alignment with business priorities and objectives and in collaboration with key internal partners

  • Drives execution of Medical Unit strategies by:

o Clearly communicating objectives to direct reports and providing strategic guidance regarding key customers

o Ensuring execution of customer engagement plans and tracking performance

o Optimally managing and reassessing field medical resources to ensure and/or maximize regional business outcomes Recruiting high performing, diverse talent and providing on-going coaching and development through field ride alongs, assessment of reporting tools, competency, feedback from peers, and customer feedback surveys

o Promoting cross-functional collaboration that ensures timely delivery of customer solutions and maximizes customer satisfaction o Developing and participating in forums to share helpful practices and build innovations.

  • Develops perspective on regional influence map and provides guidance on engagement strategies for MEs/stakeholders as well as key Academic Medical Centers / Centers of Excellence within region.

  • Represents customer interests/needs and strategic priorities of region with the Field Medical National Director and other senior internal stakeholders for product prioritization and budget decisions

  • Leads cross-functional collaboration with Sr internal stakeholders to implement novel approaches to partnerships with medical experts & community practices to drive the US CDMA, GDD, Early Development, and Phase I-IV

  • Infuses customer insights into regional and Medical Unit strategic plans, and more broadly as appropriate

  • As member of the Field Medical Leadership Team, ensures the optimal strategic integration and tactical implementation of regional initiatives in support of the Medical Product Plans

  • Strategically influences and collaborates with RAD/CRM, FOCUS teams, CRMDs, Medical Directors, MAM, HE&OR and other relevant internal partners where appropriate to support Medical Product Plans, clinical development, and clinical trial placement and support

  • Ensuring field training/readiness and application of scientific knowledge, utilization of technology and ability to achieve and focus on priority business objectives.

  • Responsible for distinct oversight and delivering clear and compliant direction on all Field Medical WPDs, SOPs, E&C policies, Code of Conduct, etc.

Position will be filled at level commensurate with experience.
