LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is currently seeking an individual to join our team as a Regional Director in Gainesville, FL. This position oversees the daily operations of a branch within the district to ensure the daily and long-range commitments of the blood bank are met.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Review monthly and quarterly Quality Assurance reports for the region

  • Ensure the region meets established recruitment goals

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with local hospitals

  • Oversee blood collection, donor recruitment, components production, blood labeling and blood distribution within the region

  • Work under the District Director to prepare annual budgets for the region

  • Represent and promote the company and its mission to the community within the region

  • Ensure the region operates within its budget

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • Three years of relevant management experience

  • Valid driver's license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirements

  • Knowledge of modern principles and practices of administration and organization, including general budgeting, accounting and personnel management techniques

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

  • Ability to prepare concise and informative reports

  • Ability to learn and effectively utilize office, management and blood banking software

The selected candidate may be required to be continuously on call to fulfill the needs and obligations of the region.

This is a full-time position. Starting salary range is $60,000 - $66,000 annually. Background check and drug test required. Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer/DFWP/Tobacco Free.

He or she will serve as a strategic partner with UF Advancement/UFF divisions, ensuring conformity with the central fundraising efforts and the overall university development and alumni programs and goals and in promoting a culture of philanthropy and service by broadening constituents' understanding of the value of giving of resources, time and expertise. Portfolio Management * The Senior Director of Regional Advancement is responsible for the identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and the stewardship of Regional Development's major gift prospects from NY, DC and the northeast. * Focus on individual, corporate, and foundation prospects primarily at the $100,000 level and above, focusing on prospect gifts of $1 million or more. * Coordinate solicitation with college development and alumni officers/directors; must communicate frequently with these persons, deans, other administration, faculty and colleagues within the Foundation. * Properly handle leadership, annual gifts and pledges made to the University. * Design solicitation strategies on case by case basis, being cognizant of development and college office needs and procedures. Regional Development * Assist AVP in the planning and implementation of all fundraising and alumni activities for Regional Development. * Assist/collaborate with the UF Alumni Association to offer engagement opportunities with the Gator Clubs activities and other alumni engagement strategies. * Assist UF Alumni Association in determining fundraising and alumni policies as they pertain to the Regional Development. * Assist AVP in formulation of development policies and procedures as they pertain to the University's development program. * Maintain continuous personal contact with key volunteers, members, lapsed members and prospects throughout the strategic regions; communicate regularly via phone and mail. Regional Volunteer Engagement * Coordinate and manage the New York City Regional Campaign Council working with current and potential volunteers to raise awareness and giving to UF. * Assist with planning, implementing and sustaining volunteer cohorts within strategic geographic areas. * Coordinate volunteer engagement with college development and alumni officers/directors. * Oversee programs, using talent management best practices in alignment with the Vision of TB2 and R.A.I.S.E. Values; ensure best practices in office systems, practices, files and record keeping; ensure effective use of strategic tools and resources. * Research industry standards, trends, breakthroughs and best practices. Implement changes accordingly to maintain competitiveness among peers and to meet agreed upon goals and objectives as determined by strategic plan and goals. * Plan and monitor the budget, using resources for best results in fundraising and planning activities involving volunteers, prospects, faculty and administration. Advertised Salary: Compensation is competitive and commensurate with education and experience.
