The Regional Director is responsible for the successful operation of a portfolio of licensed assisted living communities within the Senior Living Division. This is accomplished by promoting and encouraging the HHHunt vision of senior living, ensuring proper delivery of resident care and services, consistently developing, motivating and coaching teammates, meeting or exceeding budget projections and proactive planning by using a variety of financial and analytical tools.

The Regional Director role requires extensive travel with some overnight stays expected. This position is based in Northern Virginia.

What You'll Do:

Resident Care and Services Responsibilities

  • Promotes and encourages HHHunt Assisted Living vision of "Our Family Serving Your Family with Professional, Compassionate Care" within HHHunt culture of Values and Brand Promises.

  • Exhibits honesty and integrity in dealing with others and determining courses of action.

  • Regularly visits each house of responsibility to observe daily operations and customer service delivery to residents to include resident care programs, dining service, physical plant cleanliness and maintenance, activities & wellness programming, community relations and documentation of all pertinent issues.

  • Responds in a timely manner to all requests of residents, families and other house guests.

  • Is fully versed in state regulations in which communities operate and ensures ongoing compliance with licensure rules demonstrated through deficiency-free surveys.

Personnel Responsibilities

  • Is committed to developing people consistent with HHHunt Values Based Leadership (VBL) culture.

  • Ensures recruitment, hiring, orientation and evaluation guidelines are followed as outlined including well defined onboarding and training standards.

  • Manages labor hours effectively and according to HHHunt standards based on census and acuity to include adequate staffing, budget compliance, control of overtime and compensation review and recommendation.

  • Team Development and Support - Mentor and coach EDs Directors effectively through regular visits with team members to find opportunities for support and growth potential. Provide the proper communication, education and coaching to the team to maximize their gifts and ensure excellence in service delivery.

  • Effective development, implementation and participation of various departmental and Executive Director training and education sessions.

Productivity Responsibilities

  • Creates and recommend innovative ways to improve current operations, streamline guidelines and update standard practices that are forward thinking.

  • Produces/completes quantity of work in accordance with prescribed standards.

  • Develops and contributes to the annual management plan, periodic tactical plans and other goal and planning outlines for self, region and division as required.

  • Communicate with supervisor and others to keep them informed of pertinent matters.

  • Adheres to policies regarding attendance.

  • In the spirit of forward thinking, contribute new ideas to improve service within division and organization.

Sales, Marketing and Financial Responsibilities

  • Provides adequate review and training of sales systems to ensure conversion rates according to guidelines; this includes an ongoing review of Yardi CRM and how this resource is being utilized on a daily basis.

  • Regularly reviews potential resident information to learn about our customer and assist in prospect planning.

  • Regularly collaborates with community management teams in taking proactive action to address residents at risk for move-out.

  • Manage and lead the development of a sound annual operating budget and business plan that allows for the effective delivery of quality products and services while achieving financial goals for each community and making a positive contribution to the Division as a whole.

  • Through proactive planning and utilization of resources including Yardi, ensures revenue, net operating income and cash flow meets or exceeds budget.

  • Understands the financial model of assisted living and can contribute to fiscal improvement through analysis and plans of correction.

Customer Service

  • Ensure proper communication and follow-up to customer questions, compliments and concerns.

  • Regular observance of service delivery to ensure customer service guidelines are followed. Assist as needed with resolutions and the development and implementation of action plans as needed.

This Regional Nurse role is responsible for activities related to the development, implementation and ongoing support of quality management and educational initiatives throughout Spring Arbor communities. Prior experience in assisted living and memory care strongly preferred. This regional role involves travel to multiple communities in Northern VA and MD, in addition to active engagement and collaboration with all levels of Senior Living operations. An active RN license is required for this role. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist communities to plan and utilize education programs, in-service schedules, etc., to assure training is adequately preparing employees to succeed in their respective role, in addition to maintaining compliance with federal and state training regulations. * Conduct or oversee completion of full internal quality audit in each community at least annually. This should be completed in timely advance of State survey, to assist and assure correction of identified deficiencies, etc. * Conduct or oversee mini (focused area) internal audits as matter of routine during community visits, to identify new educational needs, etc. * Support resident retention objectives by working closely with community management in identifying backdoor issues and opportunities. * Support and encourage HHHunt Wellness initiatives. * Use each community visit or communication as an opportunity to reinforce the company Mission, Brand Promises and Values. * Work closely with Senior Director Q&E and Regional Directors to understand specific community needs and challenges and seek opportunities to positively impact these needs. * Participate in interview process for new department heads as requested (most especially Resident Care Coordinator and Cottage Care Coordinator). * Demonstrates consistent and excellent customer service in communications with residents/families, employees/co-workers, visitors, the medical community, the greater community, etc. Provides necessary feedback to community management about "first impression" and "ongoing impressions" of the community. * Work closely with Senior Director Q&E and Regional Directors to interpret and communicate new regulatory standards as related to resident care and services. * Assist with updates and maintenance of P&P and Operational Manuals as needed. * Interact with State regulatory personnel as needed to clarify issues or seek guidance. * Participate in company meetings as requested. * Analyze data and prepare reports as needed or requested. * Participate in industry-related seminars to enhance personal knowledge for improved work performance results. * Perform other related duties as needed SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES * This position does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: * Geriatric assessment and medication management skills and ability to demonstrate and instruct the same * Knowledge of OSHA, federal, state and local regulations and ability to demonstrate and instruct the same * Knowledge of HHHunt SL policies and standards and ability to demonstrate and instruct the same * Ability to establish effective and non-threatening community audit and educational experiences * Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills * Analytical and problem-solving abilities, adapting to changing needs and conditions * Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) * Professional appearance and demeanor * Dependable QUALIFICATIONS: * Must be 21 years of age or older * Registered Nurse, with active license in NC, VA, and/or MD. * Minimum of 2 years geriatric nursing experience, including dementia/Alzheimer's * At least 3 years management experience in similar environment * Experience with and a passion for working with seniors * Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others * Ability to work well with others and to promote a team attitude in all environments HHHunt offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, great growth potential and an excellent work environment.
