Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Regional Director, Franchise Operations to join our team at the Parsippany

  • 22 Sylvan Way location in Parsippany, New Jersey.

Job Summary

Responsibilities

The RDFOs' lead a team of seven to ten MFOs and DFOs and are accountable for driving quality and revenue performance of their region. The have a responsibility to foster a strong relationship with key franchisees and assist their team with franchise relationship recovery.

  • Lead, manage, and develop direct reports in order to drive revenue generating opportunities

  • Influence and motivate direct reports to take ownership of the key metrics driving their region

  • Lead problem resolution, onboarding and retention for MFO portfolios within their region

  • Collaborate with internal departments

  • Participate in the development and execution of operational goals and strategies

  • Manage assigned budgets and forecasts to ensure financial goals are being met

  • Analyze brand performance and collaborate with leadership/support teams

  • Development, execution, engagement that strengthens our brands value proposition

  • Reinforcing the field organization and Wyndham Hotel Group culture

  • Retain the brand's most valuable customers and drive franchisees to engage with the brand and WHG initiatives

  • Accountable for leading the teams in environments of increasing complexity and rapid change through planning, resourcefulness and organizational ability

  • Continuously learn new initiatives and stay current with industry trends and transfer this knowledge to the franchisees and WHG associates to enhance our value proposition

  • Analyze & optimize regional portfolio performance and recommend solutions to drive results

  • Ability to effectively conduct crucial conversations with customers in regards to delicate topics, while maintaining the customer's trust and valued relationship, and know when to escalate issues to senior leadership

  • Identify, capitalize and measure critical next steps with owners and direct reports for improvements to their business models, or where Wyndham's tools and technologies can aide in their success

  • Make decisions that have a direct impact on financial goals and operations for the region

  • Train and mentor other field team members

  • Cultivate effective relationships with franchisees, general managers, WHG associates and acting as a champion for WHG culture.

Education & Experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4 year degree

  • 6 to 8 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field required, preferably, property and corporate management experience.

  • Multi-property experience

  • Industry certifications

  • 1 to 2 years Leadership experience

  • 3-5 years of Wyndham Operations experience (preferred)

Physical Requirements

Physical Requirements & Wok environment

  • Position entails exposure to interior and exterior hotel property environments inclusive of the multilevel properties, inclement weather (i.e. stairs, onsite restaurants, pool and exercise facilities, etc.)

  • Seamless continuation of work while traveling on company business (i.e. conduct work using mobile devices, from hotels, while at trade shows, and/or across varying time zones when necessary)

  • 70 % travel with flexible work schedule

  • Work under pressure with extended hours/days when required, in order to meet deadlines

  • Must be able to independently prioritize and schedule multiple responsibilities

  • This position requires the ability to stand and be on your feet for approximately 50% of the day

  • This position requires the ability to sit and drive long distances for approximately 50% of the week

  • Qualified candidates must be able to lift a minimum of 10 lbs.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to effectively present material to various audiences

  • This position requires the ability to bend, twist, squat, push/pull while inspecting properties
