Position Summary:

Trupanion, the market-leading provider of medical insurance for cats and dogs, is seeking a Regional Director to join the team. The position of Regional Director requires approximately 80% travel throughout Texas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, New Mexico, Michigan, Indiana, Oklahoma and Ontario. An ideal candidate should reside in the Central U.S. near a major airport hub.

Our Regional Directors (RDs) are responsible for Trupanion's field sales organization within their region.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Coach, develop and support a team of 9-13 sales representatives tasked with building and maintaining relationships with veterinary practices.

  • Conduct regular field rides with team members in the areas abovementioned.

  • Add value to selling skills, presentation skills, and territory management.

  • Assist in development of key partnerships and accounts

  • Grow regional portion of veterinary referred business

  • Manage regional expense budgets

Qualifications (Please include a cover letter with your application!)

Education, Registration & Certification:

  • BA or BS degree


  • 8+ years of animal health sales

  • 2+ years in animal health sales management and/or training

  • Entrepreneurial spirit

For more information please visit our website at Job Purpose Rapid Recovery is the number one service provider of refrigerant recovery services for the HVAC, refrigeration, demolition, and marine industries. Projects range in size from single residential split systems to chilling systems operating on tens of thousands of pounds, to projects with thousands of units. The Regional Team Leader's primary duty is to intensively coach, assist and inspire company territories to grow sales, achieve budgets and improve return on investments. Primary responsibilities will be business development, coaching, sales, and marketing. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work remotely and be located in the Central Region of the United States. This will cover Rapid Recovery locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Illinois. Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Responsible for the growth and profitability of the six (6) territories throughout your assigned region through continued teamwork and leadership of the business development leaders and field service technicians. * Demonstrate a goal-oriented mindset work with the territories in finding opportunities for service, gas buy-back and refrigerant spot buy sales that help to meet or exceed territory targets * Create a strong focus on revenue growth within existing territories by incorporating total solutions and collaborating with the other sales departments within the company. * Be leaders and problem solvers with the ability to think strategically and make decisions based on what is the best decision for the entire organization not just one specific area. * Communicate effectively with your Business Development Leaders (BDL's) to keep them updated on regional objectives. * Utilize Salesforce for activity planning and relationship development execution * Work in a safe manner, holding self and others accountable for safety standards * Other duties as assigned Experience, Knowledge Skills and Abilities   * College Degree required, and/or 5+ years leadership and/or industry experience in lieu of degree will be considered * Leadership/managerial experience required * Experience managing to a P&L and influencing a P&L mindset throughout the organization.
