The Regional Director Biologic Analytical Services will manage, coach and lead the a team of Business Development Account Executives that is responsible for developing new business and nurturing existing accounts in accordance with defined targets and the strategic plan for the Morrisville and Kansas City sites.

The Regional Director Biologic Analytical Services will support achievement of the Site's / Technology's financial goals by supporting the site with new and existing business acquisition. This role will manage the Business Development team in accordance to the processes and sales procedures as outlined and defined by the organization. This role will drive the execution of market launch plans, new technology introduction to customers, exhibition and conference support and other commercial activities and customer support as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and assist the BD team in delivering proposals and developing relationships with customers. Work with each team member to acquire and close new and existing projects with target customers.

  • Provide guidance to Business Development team regarding targeting, account management planning, territory planning and setting of yearly goals.

  • Oversee and deliver robustness in funnel/pipeline for new and existing business. Oversee and drive compliance with sales tools. (SFDC opportunity management, Miller Heiman tools etc.)

  • Work with site management and the sales operations team to establish wins and revenue targets for team members and manage the funnel size and win rates to support target achievement.

  • Analyze metrics to determine best path to BD goals and steer team to alternative paths to achievement as necessary. Oversee and review territory plans with team members.

  • Work with site management at RTP and KC to define paths to budgeted revenue and wins targets

  • Lead the BD team and work with Marketing to deliver Go To Market strategies for new programs

  • Participate in key exhibits and conferences to engage in industry events and network with key clients.

  • Participate with peers across the BU to provide training, cross selling and best practices.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or relevant biologic degree with team leadership experience

Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in sales team management

  • Relevant industry knowledge of biologic processing and analytics

  • Analytical, financial skills, business acumen

Technical Requirements:

  • Foundational technical knowledge of biopharmaceutical manufacturing and testing

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to: * Responsible for managing the entire CDMO business cycle including identification and qualification of leads * Expand Catalent Cell & Gene Therapy's brand awareness * Develop and execute business development strategy to identify and target potential new clients through effective market, revenue, and literature analyses as well as utilization of existing network * Maintain relationships with key individuals in the industry and have extensive and up to date knowledge of industry trends and key collaborations and partnerships * Contribute to short- and long-term territory business plans through in-depth understanding of revenue streams and potentials * Work with existing clients to maintain relationships and understand long term manufacturing strategies to ensure repeat business * Manage the territory through the use of the company's customer relationship management (CRM) tool and provide forecast reporting to management on a routine basis * Update and maintain the CRM database through rigorous documentation of all communications with clients and potential clients * Responsible for securing new customers and projects, and for maintaining repeat business * Work with senior management to arrange high level meetings with existing clients on manufacturing strategy in order to secure long term collaborations with key clients * Serve as a secondary point of contact for existing clients in order to keep a pulse on needs, relationship status and gain an understanding of future business needs.
