The Role:
The Regional Controller of Centralized Accounting is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting including, but
not limited to developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely
financial statements. Oversees the processing of all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.
Ensures that the designated cashier and closing reports are completed accurately in the system. Prepares the financial
statements within the time frames supplied in the corporate closing schedule and according to the policies and procedures.
This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial
reporting, accounts payable preparation, balance sheet preparation and reconciliation, sales and use tax calculation and
payment, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities. Ensures that all statuary and fiscal
reporting requirements are satisfied, which includes any governmental requirements for permits and licenses. Work with
the corporate and property accounting teams to streamline processes and manage deadlines. Primary focus of the
position will be on centralized hotel property/entity accounting and consolidation.
Qualifications
Hotel accounting and finance Experience is required
Bachelors' Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, with a minimum of three (3) to five
(5) years of prior accounting experience.
Must have a minimum of basic hotel operation knowledge, Good working knowledge
of Excel, Word and Outlook Software, Good mathematical aptitude, Good communication skills, both written and oral.
Experience using a back-office accounting software, preferably hospitality oriented, is preferred.
CPA is a plus
