We are currently seeking a Regional Contracts Manager to work with a leading EPC company based out of Houston, TX. Our client has a presence in 48 countries worldwide, with state-of-the-art industrial assets on all continents and their own fleet of specialized vessels for pipeline installations and subsea construction, as well as providing a wide range of services, including design, engineering, construction, fabrication and environmental services.
The Regional Contracts Manager will support North America geo-markets for the Product Contracting organization and shall be responsible for:
Supervision, management, career opportunities planning and orientation of all Contracts personnel in North America in consultation with the Senior Manager Product Contracting.
Leading reviews, negotiations and administrations of all contracts with existing and potential customers in order to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Policies and Standard, taking a leadership role in communicating and negotiating agreements with clients and having the ability to effectively lead a negotiation with no supervision.
Review, drafting, negotiation and management of customer revenue contracts within the scope of the Product Contracting - Legal Operations organization, in compliance with the Bid-It-Standard (GPS-COR-15001, latest revision) as well as all Company Policies and Standards.
Support the Tender, Proposal and the Sales Group in the contractual activities associated with client's tender requirements including all associated subcontract requirements from receipt of tender enquiry to contract award.
Support the Project Group on contractual matters during the contract execution phase when so required.
Support the Management Team in the identification and assessment of all identified contractual risks, and when applicable, prepare and distribute Deviation Approval Forms in order to obtain the appropriate written approvals for any deviations from the clients Bid-It Standard.
Attend internal and external customer meetings via telephone, videoconference or in person.
Manage, maintain, and upload all assigned contractual and commercial documentation within proprietary Contracts Workspace system.
Bachelor's Degree in business, law or applicable major; or equivalent qualification in a related field.
Minimum of 12 years' experience in commercial/contracts' review matters.
Excellent knowledge of contractual terms and conditions with the ability to identify and mitigate contractual risk.
Analytical and problem-solving, operational minded. Interprets internal and external business challenges with impact on the organization and recommends best practice solutions.
Participates in establishing global contract standards and ensures compliance, anticipating when to consult with other departmental functions.
Excellent ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive enquires.
Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work under pressure, meet individual deadlines and manage priorities, as well as team deadlines. The employee must be able to work as part of a team, as well as manage a team if so required.
Ability to give and receive constructive feedback and coaching, performance management, and respond appropriately.
Understanding and communication within diverse cultural environments is critical.
Ability to travel up to 10%
