Position Overview

Global responsibility for Siemens PLM's purchasing volume in the Marcom / Events commodities. Organization, controlling and steering of all strategic procurement and demand pooling activities in cross-functional teams with the objective of establishing best value and / or lowest TCO for given requirements. Development of a competitive supply base jointly with key internal clients.


  • Manage assigned commodities and ensure effective cross-functional alignment globally

  • Establish spend transparency and long-range requirements forecasting in order to develop effective commodity strategies

  • Define and execute procurement and pooling strategies in order to leverage Siemens PLM's entire spend and Siemens' SCM Network in the assigned commodities

  • Define, implement and execute negotiation and contracting strategies to reach the targeted contractual relationships based on internal client requirements

  • Manage virtual teams consisting of procurement and cross-functional resources in order to effectively organize strategic procurement activities for global and local/regional sourcing projects

  • Promote the use of commodity- or industry-specific e-procurement tools or applications

  • Identify risks and opportunities related to current or future requirements in the assigned commodities and initiate related action plans with the relevant internal client where appropriate

  • Coordinate and guide supplier management activities including supplier qualification, selection, evaluation, and development activities based on procurement strategy and internal clients' requirements

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree required (preferably in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management),

  • 5+ years experience in Strategic Procurement leadership or Commodity Management roles for Marcom / Events commodities

  • Demonstrated expert knowledge and multi-year experience in the sourcing, negotiations, and contracting process for mid-size to large events

  • Demonstrated expert knowledge and multi-year experience in the sourcing, negotiations, and contracting process for MarCom-related goods and services

  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated leadership skills to guide cross-functional team members in virtual team settings

  • Required travel 15-20%

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Masters Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management

  • CPSM certification (ISM) and / or CSEP, CMP, CQEP or equivalent

  • 5+ years experience in event planner / coordinator roles for mid-size to large events

  • Preferred knowledge, skills, or expertise

  • 5+ years experience in different roles in the Siemens SCM Network

The Regional Facility Manager provides leadership to Cushman & Wakefield team supporting the regional portfolio, including the hiring, performance management, a support required to ensure success. Job Description Responsibilities: Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: * Manage building / facilities management contracts to ensure that the service delivery and contractual obligations are delivered and executed in a manner that fosters and achieves customer satisfaction * Develop positive, service driven relationships with clients and local management. Act proactively in client management; promptly respond to problem and concerns that are recurring or of a sensitive nature * Guide, lead and control critical laboratory space to ensure operations continue unimpeded * Interface closely with the client and customers to understand requirements and provide effective solutions and recommendations * Manage subcontractors as they perform services associated with café operations, custodial, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, grounds, snow removal, painting and other duties as assigned * Liaise with site landlord/property manager; demonstrate familiarity with lease terms to ensure landlord responsibilities are completed promptly and at no cost to client * Implement initiatives to ensure that best practices are achieved in every aspect of service delivery with particular focus on client satisfaction, cost, and quality. This includes daily walk-through of the site with strong visibility and interaction with the local client base * Plan and implement predictive and preventive maintenance program and review / monitor effectiveness to maximize efficiency and minimize maintenance and energy costs * Execute and manage facilities management projects / initiatives as assigned by the client * Perform safety / routine inspection on general facilities of the client office to ensure office facilities and equipment are operating at optimum level. Work closely with the Client Employee Health and Safety operation * Initiate and implement sustainability strategies and processes as they pertain to the built environment * Prepare request for proposal (RFP), technical specification, and scope of work for contract renewal and tender of facility management services * Source and evaluate contractors/ suppliers / vendors in compliance with client's purchasing policies and procedures and conduct periodic review of contractors / suppliers / vendors performance * Ensure operation and oversight of BIG Center & 360 Facility work order management and YARDI accounting system * Supervise a team of facilities onsite staff to provide high quality day-to-day management of the portfolio. Evaluate staff performance; identify staff strengths/weaknesses and implement training as required * Review, monitor and control overall expenditures and performance of operating budget / accounts. Ensure proper oversight of financial reports in accordance with client requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, monthly accruals, variance reports, forecasting, and invoice approval and management * Prepare required reports including monthly facilities management report and others Qualifications & Requirements * Exemplary customer service skills with a keen focus on client relations * Strong leadership, interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to build strong teams from diverse backgrounds * Experience in critical environments maintenance and management is required * Minimum five (10) years of working experience in facility/property management * College degree required * CFM or CPM a plus * Experience in managing term contractors and minor project works * Excellent analytical skills with problem solving aptitude * Good communication skills, both written and verbal Cushman & Wakefield provides equal employment opportunity.
