This position will support the clinical nursing education programs within MaineHealth in Southern Regions and may include travel to: Belfast, Rockland, Damariscotta, Norway, Farmington ME and North Conway, NH.
This position requires schedule flexibility and could require day, evening and weekend commitments based on school/unit availability.
Position Summary
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Comprehensive knowledge of professional nursing theory, practice, research, education, in nursing acquired through the completion of a Master's Degree/preferably a doctorate degree in Nursing.
License/Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in practice and nursing education in acute care clinical and learning environments with expertise in educational curriculum design and technology. Prior practice in diverse clinical settings is preferred.
Expertise in the application of teaching and learning methodologies related to progressive developmental levels in nursing practice. Experience with high fidelity simulation techniques preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in human resource management and leadership.
Analytical skills sufficient to design, direct, and evaluate systems, processes, and outcomes.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues in other departments, disciplines, and practice and academics. Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
