This position will assist the Director of Clinical Services in providing clinical oversight and monitoring to all Kaplan NJ communities. This position is responsible for monitoring systems and processes at the community level with the assistance of the community's management staff.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

Provides clinical support and guidance to the Executive Director and Resident Care Director within the NJ communities. Reports to the Director of Clinical Services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist the community Management Team with following the clinical standard policies and systems at the community level.

  • Assist with educational sessions for the communities at minimum on a quarterly basis or as needed or directed by the Director of Clinical Services.

  • Assist with supporting the electronic medical record training as needed.

  • Assist with mock surveys of all NJ communities to ensure ongoing system effectiveness to maintain regulatory compliance and meet Kaplan standards.

  • Provide status reports to the Director of Clinical Services and Community management team relative to facility progress.

  • Assist in developing strategies to support communities in managing discharges and admissions.

  • Assist with QA/QI and infection control programs.

  • Monitors trends in survey focus recommending operation changes through appropriate channels.

  • Serves as a resource in compliance activities and as a support system for survey preparation.

  • Assist Clinical Services in the ongoing improvement of systems and programs.

  • Adheres to and supports the purpose, philosophy, objectives, standards, and procedures of the corporation.

Other Duties:

  • Performs other related duties as assigned or as necessity dictates.

  • May require some travel outside of NJ

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Must have a current Registered Nurse license, Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years management experience in the role of Director of Nursing or Executive Director in an assisted living or skilled community. Prior experience in assisted living preferred.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Performance Improvement Process, Federal (i.e. OBRA, OSHA, HIPAA) and State regulations. Must also possess the following management abilities: planning; organizing; leadership; analyzing; cooperation; flexibility; and decision making. Also prefer a personal profile that demonstrates problem solving, creativity, communication, personal motivation; emotional adjustment and accuracy and thoroughness in completing assignment. Able to communicate well both verbally and in writing. Traveling to the communities is required.

POSITION CAN BE LOCATED IN ANY MAJOR US HUB Newark, NJ; Hackettstown, NJ; Brentwood, TN   Job Purpose: The  regional logistics manager is a new role and will work alongside the key supply chain and commercial stakeholders in each region and specifically support the logistics operational efficiency mega project which has a global savings target of $80-$100 over the next 3 years. The role will work as part of a supply chain team which will also consist of associates from supply chain, R&D and Demand and will focus on identifying, creating and embedding best practice for this initiatives, including the creation & implementation of breakthrough strategies which deliver long term competitive advantage, manage risk & maximize value to the business. The role has high impact on critical business processes of our supply and market organization with an effect on reducing inefficiencies and ensuring that we have the right commercial pricing in contracts to support the delivery of value. Key Responsibilities: * BEST PRACTICE Implements best practice pricing in contracts across our regional spend. Leads knowledge transfer x-country, x-segment and x-teams. * STRATEGY Develops deep understanding of our business needs, external benchmarks and category industry capabilities, to create and implement Category sourcing strategies with an End-to-End approach. Focusing on a time horizon of 3-5y, driving innovation and challenge to bring competitive advantage to the business. * FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION Contributes with value creation across regional transport spend and influences handling and storage costs.
