The Regional Client Consultant works from a named list of approximately 20 existing clients within the Global Fortune 500. Calling on executives based in North America, the Regional Client Consultant has an opportunity to bring global ideas to local teams. The Regional Client Consultant is expected to expand and create new relationships across the organization leveraging our entire suite of services. This often involves engaging multiple business units and various functions including strategy, consumer insights, marketing, innovation, finance, etc. Solutions include data and trend analysis from existing syndicated databases as well as ad hoc capabilities to address specific priorities.

The Regional Client Consultant primarily wears three hats:

  • A collaborator. Working closely with the Key Account Team managing the HQ relationship to identify opportunities, contacts and trends that can be applied to local teams.
  • An entrepreneur. As a self-driven and intellectually curious sales rep, they are resourceful, flexible and creative. Being an entrepreneur also requires the ability to locate internal resources and communicate effectively with internal teams.
  • An ambitious sales professional. It is important to not only achieve, but take personal accountability to exceed sales targets, looking to establish new ways of entrenching Euromonitors services within existing relationships. The ability to close deals by building consensus internally and externally while continuing to drive urgency via tangible next steps is vital.

The relationships you uncover and maintain can yield countless engagements which are further encouraged by a base salary and uncapped commissions. Our team philosophy is to become our clients strategic advisors, expanding clients understanding of international markets and build mutually beneficial relationships within our existing client base.

Key responsibilities:

  • Product Knowledge
    • Understand and succinctly explain all of Euromonitors databases as well as consulting capabilities
  • Client Organization Understanding
    • Building relationships, creating a deeper network inside client organizations with consistent and proactive dialogue with multiple decision makers.
    • Able to map, network, and penetrate a clients organizational structure.
  • Sales Process
    • Responsible for an annual upsell target.
    • Expanding our contacts beyond existing sources, developing a tailored value proposition for various areas within an organization, presenting a benefit-led approach to sales.
    • Able to use polite persistence to engage difficult to reach executives, following through on long term projects as well as identifying multiple ways to assist/address obstacles in the process along the way Negotiation & support of closing syndicated and consulting/ad hoc proposals

  • Excellence in current role, goal oriented and consistently at or over target
  • 2-3yrs of sales experience, bachelors required
  • Highly organized with excellent time management, managing numerous contacts including scheduling, follow up, and establishing frequent points of interaction.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and diplomacy skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with internal colleagues
  • Willingness to travel (

What TC's Do The HP Presales Technical Consultant (TC), works directly with customers to demonstrate the value of HP hardware, software, and solutions. By understanding customer requirements, the TC helps position technical solutions to customer's business challenges. Presales Technical consultants provide technical presentations to customers on a wide array of HP solutions and build trust as technical advisers. TC's work in partnership with the sales team to win new business while maintaining and building existing customer loyalty. Responsibilities: Opportunity analysis. * Gathers and assesses customer needs, both business and technical. * Identifies related needs (lead generation, opportunity expansion). * Identifies site-specific parameters and constraints that impact the solution. * Identifies required project steps. * Identifies likely problem areas that require attention. * Identifies probable competition and product roll-out data/training needs. Solution Planning and Design. * Architects an appropriate technical solution to meet the customer's requirements. * Investigates and optimizes a solution's fit to the requirements of an opportunity. * Adapts solution design to new requirements. * Establishes the validity of a solution and its components. * Generates an implementation plan with timelines for the solution. * Creates the appropriate test plan as required. * Anticipates some of the potential challenges for the proposed project plan. * Assesses likely competitive threats. * Assists with requests for expertise from peers. Client/customer relationship * Maintains excellent communications with customer management. * Represents HP as technical expert with customers; shares knowledge in area of expertise. * Advances opportunities through the use of effective consultative selling techniques. * Builds customer loyalty through being a trusted adviser. * Partners effectively with others in the account to ensure problem resolution and customer satisfaction. * Communicates and articulates the details of their component roles in a proposed customer solution.
