Job Summary

The Regional Claims Manager provides direction, coordination and control for the effective operation of an individual Claims Satellite or similar support in a Claims Center. The Regional Claims Manager will have direct supervision of Claims Counsel who are responsible for investigating and handling claims to resolution. The Regional Claims Manager reports to the Claims Center Director.

  • Manage a satellite claims center or Claims Counsel within a claims center and, staffing, training, career development and performance evaluations

  • Manage and/or oversee all major claims; provide advice on case strategy, resolution and coverage decisions

  • As needed, manage an assigned claim load performing the duties of Senior Claims Counsel

  • Implement company procedures for claims administration and oversees compliance with those procedures

Job Qualifications:

  • Law Degree required

  • Admitted to practice law in US Licensed to practice law in good standing

  • Minimum 6 years relevant professional experience in title insurance/title underwriting and in depth knowledge on title insurance claims and resolution and up to two years in second level management role with responsibility to manage a departmental activity or function

  • Exhibits sound management practices

  • Fully knowledgeable of assigned product/functional area

  • Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of particular field of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and organizational skills
