About the Role:
A Senior Business Travel Sales Manager's objective is to assist in growing business in both the IBT/corporate & local negotiated segments as well as overall Travel/Consortia business. To further penetrate existing accounts as well as procure new business for the region.
The position is not remote, time will be spent at each property in the region.
What will I be doing?
As the Senior Business Travel Sales Manager with the Hiltons of DC Metro you would be responsible for the following:
Our team of three BTS Managers solicits the travel arrangements of local, out-of-town companies, and consortia/travel agencies by phone, email, sales calls and agency presentations to secures their commitment and encourage their employees business to stay with the DC Area Cluster ofhotels. Which will include:
Attending TIR agency visits and City hub events
Presentations/visits to target consortia offices
Hold/execute local sales blitzes
Attend/participate in Tradeshows/events
Analysis of Hoteligence and Forecast reports
Assists/participates in the entire annual RFP process. Helps with the Wish/Walk process, as well as responds to RFP's and rebids.Take travel arrangers of local out-of-town companies, associates, and travel agencies on site inspections of the hotel to encourage them to promote our facilities to their business travelers
Prepares correspondence, proposals, contracts, & reports associated with the customer solicitation process and documents sales progress for supervisor.
What are we looking for?
Minimum of 5 year of sales experience in the Travel Market (BT/IBT, Government, Corporate, Travel/Consortia)
Knowledge of the DC/Mid-Atlantic Market
Ability to travel to the 16 properties within the market on a weekly basis
