This position reports to
Sales Support & Commercial Eng Mgr
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Sales organization and customers throughout the sales process by adapting ABB's products with customer applications to meet their requirements/specifications. Each day, you will select optimized products and technology for adaptation, prepare relevant documentation, and serve as a key technical resource for the assigned area.
You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities by proactively prospecting, networking. The work model for the role is: #LI - Hybrid This role is contributing to the Motion System Drives Division in New Berlin area.
You will be mainly accountable for: • Will work closely with sales team to develop and present customized solutions proposals to various clients for their application needs and on their pricing and lead time negotiations for customized solutions. • Interpret client specific documents and drawings and understand client processes. • Work closely with engineering team to determine solution feature requirements and identify customized design tasks for the client applications. • On occasion, travel to customer sites to support pre-sales or commissioning activities. Qualifications for the role
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) and 10+ years' experience in the application of Low Voltage drives required and Medium Voltage drives experience is beneficial.
Exceptional technical application and technical communication skills.
Experience in the industrial drives business is critical for success in this role. Previous experience of metals or paper industry is also preferred but not required.
Knowledge of design tools (EPLAN, AutoCAD or similar) is beneficial.
Travel up to 20% required
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
