Summary
The Regional Account Manager is responsible for managing customer accounts to increase product volume sales and value as well as supporting the needs of customers, nutritionists, and resellers by utilizing knowledge, expertise, customer feedback, and current research. This position will focus on showing customers how Novita's branded product, NovaMeal, brings economic value from income over feed to improve their business economics. NovaMeal is a bypass protein for the dairy market. They will provide service and support to ensure customers success and satisfaction. The account manager would also be a resource by providing product nutritional and quality information as well as analysis, research and results from research trials and other sources of credible information. Responsibilities & Experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Learn NovaMeal's value proposition, technical attributes, and sales tools to effectively communicate the economic benefits to customers,
Develop close working relationships with customers, nutritionists, and resellers to ensure they have a good understanding of our product(s) nutritional profile, and economic value they provide, to grow Novita's business and economic return,
Attend tradeshows, nutrition conferences and meetings as defined by the sales management,
Work with nutritionists and customers on ration formulations to help them make changes to their diets and provide best practice advice on transitioning the diet
Close on sales opportunities, write up sales agreements and submit to sales administration at the end of each day,
Involve Novita's Director of Technical Services on technical formulation challenges, answer nutritionist questions, and troubleshoot challenges,
Make on-farm visits to confirm customer satisfaction, take product and TMR samples for analysis, if needed,
Maintain nutritionist, customer profiles and communication information as well as sales opportunity information within Novita's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system,
Enter customer concerns and product issues into Novita's CRM system and work with company personnel to resolve issues in a timely fashion,
Suggest solutions and advise customers on best application of company products,
Identify strategic industry leaders, influencers, and organizations, and communicate the value that Novita's products bring,
Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to improve product positioning and messages for direct marketing, social media, and traditional media,
Stay current on relevant research and industry trends and bring appropriate information to the Novita Team,
Enhance the value of Novita by striving for excellence of product and professionalism,
Utilize best practices in customer retention tactics to keep and maintain lasting relationships with customers,

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities presently.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, e.g., word processing, spreadsheet, email, and internet sites. A preference will be provided to those candidates with nutritional modelling software experience.
Communications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are important. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to comfortably present information both in-person and remotely, required. Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working collaboratively with others is a must.
Organizational Skills: Skill and experience to identify, track communications, and execute logistics opportunities. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required.
Certificates and Licenses: A valid driver's license and favorable driving record are required for this position as both local and out-of-town travel is required on occasion.
Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize as needed is key to this position.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
This position generally operates in an office environment, with occasional exposure to the process plant environment which may include exposure to noise, heat, and other indoor and outdoor environments. Physical requirements include:
