This position provides advice, service and guidance to a group of Respiratory Therapists by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Attends work on a regular and predictable basis
Ensures our employees perform equipment set-up's in a timely and professional manner.Equipment may include highly technical equipment such as ventilators, monitors, and CPAP/Bi-level units.
Makes certain that patient education is an intricate part of the patient care activity and is performed in accordance with the patient needs and organizational policy.
Assures that complete and professional patient assessments are performed in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
Maintains current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and relevant respiratory therapy concepts.
Represents our organization through professional personal appearance, patient care activities and content of written reports.
Assures the maintenance of patient records in a complete and organized manner and in compliance with accreditation standards.
Maintains department expenses within limits as determined by supervisor.
Participate in trade shows, exhibits, advertising campaigns, and education of referral sources.
Maintains knowledge of the respiratory market and assists with technical support for staff.Provides updated information to supervisor in a timely manner.
Assures compliance with federal, state and local regulations (i.e. DOT, OSHA, DEA, EEO) as well as internal organizational policies and procedures.
Maintains ongoing quality improvement programs as directed by organizations' policies and procedures.
May perform equipment set-ups as needed in accordance with organizations' policy.

Minimum of five years' experience in home healthcare or related areas.
Must have excellent human relations skills to interface with doctors, other referral sources, patients and employees, to provide advice and direction.
Must be computer literate.
Graduate of an AMA approved respiratory program required.Bachelor's degree preferred.
Credentials with the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred
Certified Respiratory Technician (CRT) minimum requirement
Must remain certified, registered or licensed by the applicable state and/or national board governing his/her clinical practice or as otherwise permitted by law.
