External Job Description

Interprets federal and state and/or international regulations as they apply to products, financial processes, and other processes, practices and procedures. Implements policies and procedures to ensure that these are in compliance with the appropriate statutes and regulations and that regulatory reporting requirements are met.

Investigates and resolves compliance problems, questions, or complaints received from other units of the company, customers, government regulatory agencies, etc. May develop and implement programs designed to increase employee awareness and knowledge of compliance policies. May audit and evaluate current policies, procedures, and documentation for compliance with government laws and regulations.

Basic Qualifications
6 Years with Bachelors or 11 years as a qualified RCT at NNS; 4 Years with Masters

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of FAR and DFAR

Experience in auditing purchase order packages

Regulations research and interpretation

Development of purchasing processes

Development of training for buyers

VIEW JOBS 12/11/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-11T00:00 External Job Description Estimates labor and material costs of manufacturing and engineering based on request for proposal (RFP) data submitted by prospective customers. Analyzes specifications, including sketches, blueprints, bills of material, or sample layouts, and calculates production costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical data. Collects cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors. Computes cost estimates of raw materials or subcontracted work and labor. Prepares and maintains historical cost data. Creates cost models for cost estimating elements. Prepares cost reports and presents findings to management, contract personnel, proposal coordinators, customer representatives, price auditors, vendors, and subcontractors. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience. Master's Degree and 4 years of experience. 4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree. 8 years of non-related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree. An Apprentice Certificate or graduation from Navy Nuclear Power School can be substituted for Bachelor's degree. A relevant professional certification can be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. Certification Equivalency: Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certifications in Business Cost Estimating issued by the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) -or- a Certified Cost Estimator Analyst (CCEA) certification issued by the International Cost Estimating & Analysis Association (ICEAA).
