Job Description Job Description We are a growing manufacturing company located in Monroe, NC. We are looking for a driven, enthusiastic team player to join our team. Job Purpose: Build chilled water systems by assembling refrigeration components into a finished product. This requires placement of refrigeration components and routing of copper tubing in chiller assembly. Electrical, and performance testing of the finished equipment is the responsibility of the Refrigeration HVAC Technician as well. Main Responsibilities: · Mounts compressor, condenser, and other components in specified locations on frames, using hand and power tools. · Soldering, and Brazing applications: Identify proper tube size, bend tube using tube benders to specified dimensions to make connections that look neat and orderly. Solder or braze pipe connections using torches without damaging nearby components. Inspect solder joints to assure they look neat, are completely fused, and free from leaks. · Vacuum Refrigeration systems as quality control check to validate all connections are free of leaks. Checks connections for leaks using dry nitrogen pressure and visually inspects the unit before passing to the next work center. · Replaces components as instructed; reworks units rejected by quality control. · Moves units or positions pieces manually or using work aids such as casters, or forklifts. · Performs other duties, provides support and coverage on all operations on line as requested by supervisor. Cross training and flexibility required. · Maintains clean and organized work area that supports co-workers as well as safety, efficiency, quality and customer demands · Performs all duties using required safety procedures and equipment according to company policies and practices. · Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs), position overview, blue prints, and work instructions Qualification: · Minimum Education: High School Diploma · Refrigeration and/or Air-Conditioning : Minimum 2 years (Preferred) · Experience using small hand and power tools is preferred. · Ability to read, interpret and follow drawings, wiring diagrams and blueprints as shown in SOP. Ability to read and differentiate part numbers, labels and work instructions. · Must be able to read, write and understand English fluently.
