Refining Engineer - Site Water Specialist
Job Summary
The Los Angeles Refinery is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant who will support its recycled water supply contract renewal efforts. This position will function as a team member within the site's Technical Services team. The work schedule of the position will be on an as-needed basis, supporting a 9/80 schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in contract negotiation discussions.
Provide guidance on proposed technical and commercial contract terms that affect the site's operations and Company's long-term strategy.
Consider emerging water supply issues and regulatory/compliance changes while providing recommendations.
Review engineering designs and cost estimates for proposed equipment or system as required.
Education, Experience and Skills:
Minimum Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil Engineering or other related Engineering degree. (Education must be obtained/completed prior to start date)
Must have a minimum of 8 years post degree experience as an Engineer in the refining, oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
Must have knowledge of the facility's water assets and existing recycled water contract.
Must have experience supporting proposals through commercial closure.
Must be able to wear appropriate PPE in the refinery (respirator), be able to physically perform all tasks in the field and take hair drug test and physical.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US without the need for future VISA sponsorship.
