Position Summary: Responsible for processing all insurance referrals for Hallmark PCPs who become part of the Central Referral program. The referral coordinator will follow the PHO referral guidelines and work with the PCP#s, Medical Directors, office staff and the patient to help direct care, when medically appropriate, to a specialist within the PHO network and to Hallmark services. Other responsibilities will include support of the Central Radiology program, Physician Finder Line, Rapid Access program and assistance in various projects/services within the department on an #as needed# basis. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required EDUCATION: High School graduate or equivalent education required. EXPERIENCE: One to three years health care experience either in the areas of patient registration or physician office. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Knowledge of hospital and medical terminology. Experience with hospital information systems. Excellent Customer Service skills. Knowledge and skill with Microsoft office.
