JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for providing referral support to CentraCare Health Monticello.
Processes and coordinates all incoming new patient referrals.
Participates in coordination of all outgoing referrals.
Participates in the coordination of clinic activity through the processing of physician orders, and performing Patient Access duties to support patient care staff to achieve the hospital mission.
Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards.
Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate.
Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.
EXPERIENCE: One year experience or equivalent knowledge/skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience with Managed Care insurance plans preferred Medical terminology knowledge preferred ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must demonstrate excellent communicative skills Typing 50 wpm Working knowledge of computers and general office equipment Ability to organize, multi-task and work under pressure Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
