Responsible for virtual infrastructure, directory services, data storage infrastructure and data recovery environment.
This includes monitoring, planning, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing core infrastructure service, operating system, hardware upgrades, user account management, workflow analysis, log analysis, troubleshooting and service optimization. Proactively monitor assigned systems to ensure optimal uptime performance. Perform preproduction planning - gather business requirements, design, and document and implement IT solutions that meet established requirements and standards.
Responsible for the overall ownership of assigned requests and projects. Effectively document all resolution steps in electronic tracking system. Accountable for team performance, team productivity and team customer service related performance measurements.
Analyzes needs and recommends effective solutions to meet user and business objectives. Participate in on-call plan and be able to respond on-site within 1 hour if needed. Experience and Skills Requirements:
Professional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft, Linux, VMware, Juniper and Cisco. Understanding and experience with core technologies:
Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), VMware. Understanding and experience with industry standard disaster recovery solutions.
Understanding and experience with LAN/WAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, switches, IDS/IPS appliances, and related security solutions.
Understanding and experience with Remote access solutions and VPN / IPsec tunneling. Understanding of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework Experience with Windows Server 2012, Active Directory, RHEL, virtual SAN (vSAN) technology, Juniper SRX firewalls, Cisco FirePOWER IDPS appliances, Cisco switches, SharePoint 2013, and VMware.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires BS degree and 8 - 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 - 10 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
