Who we are looking for: Recycle Tech

Shift: Full Time

Location: Smyrna, TN

Department: Operations

Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor

Summary: Perform tasks related to the accepting, sorting, processing, baling and shipment of recyclable materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following, other duties may be assigned.

Stocker Qualifications/Skills:

• Operate baler and related equipment

• Provide guidance to sorters, baler operator and other staff and contracted workers as needed in the absence of the supervisor to maximize efficiency, improve production volume and maintain a safe working environment

• In the supervisor's absence, schedule material shipments

• Enter weight and volume data into the computer

• Stack bales and maintain a safe bale warehouse

• Manage the recycle barn and bulky recyclables area as directed by supervisor

• Sort recyclable materials by type and grade as determined by Supervisor. Safely operate feed and sort conveyors and other processing equipment

• Communicate with the sort line workers on quality control observations of processed materials

• Maintains a clean and safe working environment, including equipment clean out and maintenance tasks as directed.

• Perform work safely for all job functions and appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) must to be worn and all safety protocol followed

• Other tasks as directed by the Supervisor

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

• Six months of facilities experience preferred

• Six months of manufacturing experience preferred

• Forklift Certification within 90 days of job entry date

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.

Language Skills:

Recycler: 9:30pm-6:30am Mon-Fri

Recycler 6:30am-4:00pm Mon-Fri

Production Based schedule may fluctuate days/times
