Our mission is to provide comprehensive support and services that help individuals live their most independent and fulfilling lives. RecyclABILITY is one of our key programs, focused on providing secure document shredding services while supporting employment opportunities for individuals with IDD.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and professional RecyclABILITY Driver to join our team. The RecyclABILITY Driver will be responsible for transporting consoles containing documents for secure shredding, supporting and training individuals working on the truck, and representing The Arc's RecyclABILITY program to customers. This role requires a high level of customer service, organization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving and Transport: Drive to/from scheduled shred truck jobs and transport consoles containing documents for secure shredding.

• Support and Training: Support and train individuals with IDD who work on the truck.

• Customer Interaction: Represent the RecyclABILITY program to customers in a professional manner, relay any issues or comments to the appropriate team member.

• Vehicle Maintenance: Monitor vehicle conditions, report any issues, and keep up with vehicle maintenance.

• Documentation: Complete pick-up tickets at each shredding job and process credit card payments when applicable.

• Sales Support: Support and supply sales leads, help execute program events, and support marketing efforts.

• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma required.

• Certification: Class B CDL required.

• Experience: Previous experience as a CDL delivery driver preferred.

• Skills: Excellent customer service skills, ability to interact with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Requirements: Valid driver's license with a good driving record and insurability by agency insurance. High energy level and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent driving, standing, walking, hand dexterity, reaching with hands and arms, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, speaking, and listening at both near and far distances.

• Occasional sitting required.

• Frequent lifting and/or moving more than 50 pounds.

• Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift

• Day shift

• Monday to Friday
