Recruiting Specialist and HR Generalist

We are looking for the right person to join our team in our NJ headquarters as a Recruitment and Retention Specialist to ensure that the company is at optimal levels of staffing, that we are stocked with A players, and that we are able to retain our key personnel through an HR Philosophy that stresses flexibility, competitive salaries, a team you respect, and learn from and employee development. The right candidate will achieve the following outcomes:
Staffing levels will be appropriate based on work backlog 95% of the time
The specialist will nurture potential A hires consistently so that when a FTE is needed the role can be filled quickly and optimally
The retention rate will exceed 90% - people will want to work here and want to stay
Training and development programs will exist for all employees
Employees will receive regular constructive feedback on their job performance
HR Issues will be identified early and addressed quickly
Salary benchmarking will ensure that we are compensating in accordance with our HR philosophy
The right person HAS the following characteristics (these are non-negotiable):
Personal integrity, a highly transparent nature, and a mind-set of mutual benefit.
Strong self-management skills and is highly organized (micro-management is a four-letter word at PPS).
Has very high Self-Expectation (self-motivated, self-aware, self disciplined, self-improving, and self-governed). You hold yourself to a higher standard than others do.
Enjoys work, values family and is looking for a company that shares those ideals (understands that you dont get a second chance to see your childs first school play and that it doesnt matter if the report gets done at 3PM or 10PM, as long as it gets done).
Highly consultative and collaborative nature; someone who enjoys helping others achieve ambitious business and personal goals.
Effectively and proactively communicates in writing/speech.
A good sense of humor and the ability to laugh at themselves.
Able to build, and maintain, strong relationships with employees and job candidates.
Ability/desire to be a one-person HR department.
The right person usually has the following experience/attributes (these are somewhat negotiable):
Experience in recruiting full-time employees for a technology-based company
Experience in creating training and onboarding programs for employees of all levels
Experience with remote work place issues
Experience with employee review processes and policies, including salary benchmarking
Outstanding communication skills
