Recruitment Specialist

The State University of New York at Geneseo Office of Admissions is seeking a self-motivated, results-oriented, equity-minded individual who has a demonstrated commitment to the values of a liberal arts education for a temporary Recruitment Specialist position.

Responsibilities for this position include actively recruiting and counseling prospective EOP (including financial review) and BIPOC students. Activities include, but are not limited to: effective correspondence with prospective students and other constituents including written and verbal communication through territory management, interviewing, and group presentations; substantial travel including high school visits, college fairs, and regional presentations; event planning; application assessment; representing the College and department at on and off-campus events; leading on-campus special group visits and partner with New York State CBO's, and assisting with various projects in the office.

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree by time of appointment

• Demonstrated previous experience in higher education

• Must demonstrate commitment and ability to work effectively with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, and constituents supporting campus and department missions.

• Possession of a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
