The Recruitment Researcher will work as an integral part of the global Bain Partnerships team. The role will be responsible for delivering on specific candidate(s) data requests, as well as recording and maintaining this information. The individual will work effectively and efficiently on multiple search engagements simultaneously through a combination of solid project management, proactive high-quality search execution and strong, team-oriented delivery against specific client needs. In addition, the individual will interface with internal clients / Bain stakeholders and facilitate the entire search execution process.
The role will be viewed as successful if:
High potential candidates from the wider Bain network (and where appropriate external network and sources) are identified and shared with Practice/Partners in a timely fashion, using rapid sourcing where needed
The immediate team and Bain Partners believe they are getting leverage with search request
Support the Global team in the execution and completion of search requests, specifically in the research of potential candidate ideas from our existing network.
Establish sourcing and recruitment strategies to continually develop and maintain active and passive candidates
Research candidate ideas within the Bain Contact Network (75-80% of role scope). The individual will also act as a liaison to expert networks to source candidates based on the request. Each search is unique and requires a certain amount of creativity and persistence as well as quick turnarounds. Finally in certain cases a 'cold' search using Linkedin or other methods might be used.
Work closely with the team to support the database of network members as it is built up over time
Run efficient and screening tests on shortlisted advisors (social media, back-channel references with former clients where possible)
Liaise with practices to obtain market maps/ target company lists and gather their requirements for advisors
Develop and deepen relationships with researchers/recruiters at the expert network companies to facilitate searches involving those individuals
Advises on trends and data seen in the market, and better ways to find great talent
Provide regular written and verbal updates on status of projects directly with stakeholders
Proactively communicate any potential issues with deadline or problems with data accuracy
The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a search firm and exhibit an enthusiasm for research and data management. S/he will possess strong organizational and project management skills, as well as a proven background of problem-solving. Given our collaborative business orientation, the successful candidate will possess a track record of collaborative and solutions-oriented business practices. The ideal profile includes:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with exposure to database or list management
Ideally 3-5 years working at a global, leading executive search firm; search experience is required with a minimum of three years of experience in a research capacity
Strong corporate recruiting background and proven experience with modern recruitment practices and sources
Experience of database management and searches
Exposure to consulting or prior consulting experience is a plus
Experience of working with/in Bain & Company preferred but not required
Ability to interact with senior management
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and a customer service orientation
Works independently, with attention to details and a high level of accuracy
Collaborative, team oriented working style and ability to work with a diverse range of internal and client team members; highly recommended by former colleagues
