Job Summary:
The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking an experienced leader with an outgoing personality to join our Employment Unit as the Human Resources Supervisor. This position manages both, the Recruitment Team and the Drug-Free Workplace (DFW) team, including managing and coordinating recruitment of our agency's technical, administrative, professional, clerical, and trades positions throughout the state. Job Duties:
Manages and coordinates recruitment activities within the agency
Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process
Ensures positions are filled within designated time frames
Completes weekly/monthly reports for executive staff
Administrates employee appointments, promotions and transfers
Provides technical guidance to the intern program coordinator, agency representation at job fairs, and adverting in rural areas
Manages and oversees pre-employment drug testing, reasonable suspicion drug and/or alcohol testing, statewide random drug testing, and Commercial Driver's License (CDL) drug/alcohol testing in accordance with state and federal regulations, contract negotiation, vendor compliance, and statistical reporting
Completes special projects
Prepares detailed reports and provides problem resolution recommendations
Drives on state business
Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge of:
Composing correspondences to include proper formatting, spelling, and language usage
Current recruitment trends, branding, social media, and Boolean search
Human Resources management principles and practices
Federal and state laws in relation to employment
Arizona Revised Statutes(ARS), Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) Personnel Rules, and ADCRR policies and procedures
Program management including funding, staffing and reporting
Skill in:
Organization
Customer relations
Handling detailed work with accuracy and speed
Verbal and written communications
Recruiting, training and developing staff
Time management, decision making and conflict resolution
Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships at all levels
Ability to:
Plan, coordinate, analyze and establish priorities

Selective Preference(s):
Three (3) years of recruiting experience
Two (2) years of supervising experience
Pre-Employment Requirements:
Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation.
In an effort to maintain a safe environment, all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.
If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver's license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver's license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).

Retirement:
Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS).
Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
