Activities include posting requisitions, screening applications, assisting with the hiring process, completing reference and background checks, advertising, coordination of recruitment events, etc. The Recruitment Liaison serves as a resource to employees, managers and candidates in regards to the recruitment function. In this role, he/she interacts with all levels of the organization, Network and community.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists with all recruitment efforts for assigned departments.

  • Initiates, updates and maintains job postings within Workday for assigned departments. Runs openings reports as needed.

  • Posts available positions on equest or other online sites as needed.

  • Screens applications and resumes, and conducts screening interviews with candidates.

  • Schedules candidates for interviews, which may include candidates coming in from out of town.

  • Completes reference, background, and licensing checks on potential employees, ensuring all documentation is in order prior to initiating the process.

  • Works with candidate on scheduling the pre-employment physical and initiates employment paperwork through Workday.

  • Prepares and sends offer letters, rejection letters or other correspondence through Workday, in anticipation of the candidates start date.

  • Clears candidate to commence employment, based on results of physical and background checks. Notifies Recruiter immediately if there are any issues with the pre-employment or onboarding processes.

  • Coordinates and represents event participation with Network managers at various career days, job fairs, open houses, and other recruitment activities to attract qualified applicants.

  • Works in cooperation with personnel from other Network campuses on various recruitment related projects/issues.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Sitting up to 7 hours per day, 1 hour at a time. Standing/walking up to 1 hour per day, 15 minutes at a time.

Frequently uses fingers/hands for typing, computer entry, etc. Twisting and turning of hands occasionally. Occasionally carries, pushes or pulls an object of up to 25 lbs.

Occasionally stoops, bends, kneels, climbs and reaches above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing as it relates to general and near vision.

EDUCATION:

College degree preferred but will consider experience in lieu of degree.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 1- 2 years entry level Human Resources experience required. 2 - 4 years of Recruitment Coordinator experience preferred. HRIS experience preferred.

Proven ability to multi-task and ability to work in an environment where priorities may change daily. Positive, upbeat, critical thinker, where accuracy is demanded.

The Hospice Liaison will use clinical knowledge and empathetic communication skills to explain and educate about hospice services and evaluate for hospice eligibility. The Hospice Liaison will collaborate with other VNA departments to assure referral sources' needs are met and that the patient transitions seamlessly along the continuum of care. He/she will work cooperatively with the Hospice team to identify, plan and pursue growth opportunities. We are seeking someone with excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize and triage in a fast paced environment. Applicants must have the ability to work well independently yet be an active part of a strong collaborative team. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Facilitates processing of hospice referrals and continuity of patient care by acting as the Hospice representative at local health care facilities. 2. Communicates with Intake Department and Clinical Managers re: availability of resources referral capacity. 3. Acts as a resource to hospital staff and the community regarding home care and hospice. 4. Validates referral information. Facilitates development of the initial plan of care with physicians, including evaluating for hospice eligibility and communicating within the VNA as well as with other community resources and vendors involved to assure continuity and appropriateness of all services to meet the patient's needs. 5. Understands Third party coverage to assure appropriate financial coverage for services ordered. Communicates any financial responsible to patient and family as necessary. 6. Develops and in-depth understanding of the needs and preferences of each referral source and the associated opportunities for the VNA to satisfy their needs. 7. Plans and presents educational forums to hospital staff, medical community and community at large as requested. 8. Participates in department initiatives in marketing all VNA programs to the Network and community. 9. Maintain current knowledge of hospice regulations, industry trends and reimbursement issues. 10. Assists in development of marketing literature. 11. Creatively communicate St. Luke's home health/hospice mission to all constituencies through personal interaction and public forum. 12. Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network Entity as well as the proper release of information. 13. Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements. 14. Demonstrates/Models the Network's Service Excellence Standards of Performance in interactions with all customers (internal and external). 15. Demonstrates Performance Improvement in the following areas as appropriate: Clinical Care/Outcomes, Customer/Service Improvement, Operational System/Process and Safety. 16. Demonstrates financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of resources and activities to grow market share. 17.Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code. OTHER FUNCTIONS: 1. Knowledge of the organization's programs and processes along with understanding of the philosophy of Hospice. 2. Comprehensive knowledge of the process of supervision. 3. Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of people and to maintain constructive relationships in dealing with them. 4. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to patients, families, physicians, and related persons. 5. Ability to prepare neat, timely, accurate, and concise records and reports. 6. Ability to use independent judgment in planning and implementing assignments. 7. Ability to accept and utilize supervision. 8. Ability to exercise tact, initiative and good judgment in dealing with people. 9. Other related duties as assigned. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Ability to establish rapport and trust with Home Health/Hospice Management, employees and other VNA and Network departments. 2. Non-judgmental attitude toward a variety of lifestyles. 3. Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities. 4. Ability to work in a reliable and independent manner. 5. Possession of a current license to operate a motor vehicle. 6. Must have access to transportation to carry out necessary job responsibilities. PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Medium Work Exertional activity 1. Occasionally lift and/or carry 50 lbs 2. Frequently lift and/or carry 25 lbs 3. Being able to frequently lift or carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds is often more critical that being able to lift up to 50 lbs at a time 4. Must be able to see as it relates to general and near vision. EDUCATION: Graduate of State approved School of Nursing, Bachelors degree preferred TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: 1. Minimum of 3 years of successful, generalized hospice nursing, one year with liaison responsibilities in a similar setting preferred. 2. Must possess initiative, good problem-solving skills, and negotiating abilities. 3. Must have a general familiarity of Microsoft Office and Outlook software.
