The Colleague Experience Group (CEG), formerly known as Human Resources, at American Express seeks to provide a great colleague experience every day. The Global Talent Acquisition function is going through a strategic recruitment transformation, deploying robotics & process automation tools and modernizing recruitment infrastructure to focus on business talent priorities and improve end-to-end process experience.

Global Talent Acquisition is looking for a Recruitment Coordinator to support specialist and class hiring activities for the Operations function. As our Recruitment Coordinator, you will assist the Recruiters throughout the hiring lifecycle by leading screening and interviewing logistics, tracking candidate progress in applicable Recruiting technologies, initiating and managing the background verification process of candidates, triaging and resolving issues, and creating offer and contract documentation. Responsibilities:

  • Help ensure a seamless end-to-end experience for candidates, hiring leaders and recruiters

  • Utilize available recruiting technologies to handle logistics and scheduling interviews, teleconferences, and in-person interviews for participants

  • Update Global Recruiting process and policy documentation as required

  • Assist with planning and logistics of recruiting events

  • Post campaigns to appropriate sourcing sites when needed

  • Send relevant interview guides to Hiring Leaders

  • Schedule debrief meeting with Hiring Leader and Recruiter, distribute requisite tools and templates to support the evaluation process, and disposition candidate post-interview

  • Support recruiter in generating and sending offers and contracts to candidates, as well as disposition correspondence as needed

  • Initiate pre-hire activities including background checks and drug screens

  • Escort candidates during on-site interview to help ensure a positive interviewing experience

  • Provide support for ad hoc reporting requests as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years of recruiter coordinator or related experience; preferably within a financial services or Operations

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Experience with recruitment tools, technologies, and platforms such as Taleo preferred

  • Ability to collaborate with candidates, hiring leaders and teammates in an engaging and persuasive manner

  • Experience working in a fast-paced customer centric environment preferred

ABOUT THE POSITION: The Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for implementing a recruitment and training program for Central Board workers to support election activities. Our Preferred Candidate has: * Associate's degree or higher in Human Resources or related field. * Administrative experience working in a Recruitment or Human Resources environment. Essential Job Tasks * Assists the Election Support Staff Manager to develop, plan, organize, and implement a streamlined process for the recruitment of Central board worker to ensure all temporary staff are hired and in place to support Jurisdictional and Countywide Primary/General Elections. * Conducts data collection and surveys for central board worker recruitment to support evaluation of program and identify improvements. * Onboard and schedules training for temporary staff. * Oversees sign-in and sign-out process for central board worker. * Assists with input of board worker payroll for all central board worker, including class, set-up, and payment for premium status and/or any miscellaneous expenses. * Assists with time entry tracking for central board worker. * Supports facilitation and scheduling of trainings for central board worker. * Assists other programs with recruitment and training. * Supports the implementation of improvement projects for the Elections Department. * Serves on project teams and supports other programs, as needed. Working Conditions: Extensive mandatory overtime during the Primary/General election cycle. Work primarily occurs in business office setting.
