Position Title Recruitment Administrator, Graduate Admission Position Number 896429 School/Division Enrollment Management Department Full-Time or Part-Time Full-Time Description

Reporting to the Dean of Graduate Admission, the Recruitment Administrator serves as an on-campus liaison for prospective graduate students and families. This position requires the use of independent judgement in planning and prioritizing a diversified workload, reflective of a vast number of graduate program offerings.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides initial advisement to prospective graduate students regarding next steps for admission, including the provision of application submission instructions, which vary from program to program amongst 200+ degree program options.

  • Oversees projects such as conducting research on competitor degree programs, ensuring graduate program websites align with current processes, communication with project stakeholders, and maintaining various suspect/influencer lead source lists.

  • Provides back up territory management to counselors, particularly with regard to initial application review, outreach to students, and review of eligibility to enter graduate study (including vetting degree equivalencies, school accreditations, and other minimum requirements).

  • Supports event promotion through completion of outreach campaigns and collection of student feedback to inform future planning; this includes on-campus and virtual programs for students at all stages of the application cycle.

  • Maintains office onboarding procedure for new hires and assists with documentation of office policies/procedures.

  • Compiles and analyzes graduate visitor data and analyzes to provide suggestions for process improvements.

  • Completes other special projects and routine office duties as assigned.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Minimum one-year related experience in an office environment.

  • Possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Must be a creative problem solver.

  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and be customer service oriented.

  • Must be able to work independently.

  • Demonstrate a high degree of judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.

  • Extensive computing experience and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience supporting students within higher education preferred.

Salary/Salary Range $58,500

Hofstra University provides the above salary* as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education.
