About the Position: This is an open continuous announcement for Recruiting Operations Officer in several locations. Initial cutoff will be 28 February, 2018. Recruitment will continue through the announcement closing date to fill positions as they become vacant.

Responsibilities

  • Provide sound advise on subject such as recruiting, retention, and incentives management.

  • Responsible for the development and execution of recruiting plans.

  • Responsible for gathering, identifying and analyzing recruiting program issues ensuring that programs function effectively and effectively.

  • Make recommendations to correct deficient program issues.

  • Participate in recruiting activities in pre-selected areas in an effort to increase public awareness of the ROTC program.

50% or less - Business travel may be required up to 30% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: work that involves determining enrollment eligibility for prospective Reserve Officer Training Corp (ROTC) cadets; utilizing pertinent laws and regulations to manage and award scholarship incentives; and executing marketing strategy operation orders specified by higher headquarters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in

the federal service GS-09.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09.

Education

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree LL.M., if related to the position being filled (TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE ATTACHED).
