Job Description:

The Global Recruiting Infrastructure and Operations function drives consistency and delivers efficiencies through shared services, consistent metrics and technology-driven solutions to improve the recruiting function's ability to support the hiring needs of the business. Within this team, the HR Cloud Initiatives team is responsible for leading the firm-wide design and implementation of the recruiting cloud including process improvements, training, and communications across both experienced and campus recruiting.

The incumbent in this role will actively participate in the project team leading the migration to the Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC). The ideal candidate will have previously held a product owner role, have extensive experience at process reengineering, be an established project manager, and is well-versed in testing strategies.


  • Be a thought leader: consult with project leadership and product owners on appropriate strategy for the initiatives including, looking for synergistic opportunities and leveraging lessons learned

  • Engage with cross functional teams to meet all program-wide deliverables on which there is a dependency on recruiting

  • Lead operational readiness for the project, including ensuring proper testing, piloting, and completion of change management tollgates as required

  • Focus on the candidate, employee and recruiter experience, leading the experience stream of user acceptance testing

  • Escalate risks as appropriate

  • Serve as project manager including maintaining project plans, developing business cases, creating project charters, completing stakeholder analysis, providing executive updates, and performing core project management responsibilities for meeting management

  • Identify and implement process efficiencies across the organization


  • Experience managing complex projects with global, cross-LOB impacts

  • Experience driving change management efforts

  • Experience with the following: process mapping and research, process optimization, gaining stakeholder buy-in

  • Ability to deliver results accurately, quickly, and efficiently while adapting to shifting priorities

  • Experience managing the performance of a small team, motivating both direct and indirect reports

  • Able to accept responsibilities and operate outside of individual comfort zone

  • Able to work under strict deadlines with flexible working hours, including support of global time zones

  • Ability to establish strong, collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across the organization

  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong technical skills, including proficient use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (including PitchPro); MS Project and Visio is a plus

  • Possess a strong sense of intellectual curiosity and a passion to improve the candidate, employee and recruiting experience

  • Able to be a thought leader to peers and senior management

  • Operational control-minded

  • Knowledge of recruiting process and recruiting cloud technology preferred

HRSD provides vital services in the area of Payroll, HR Call Center (accessHR), Recruiting Operations, Employee On and Off Boarding, Data Management, Benefits Administration and Project Management. HRSD supports the firm in achieving its strategic priorities. The HR function is implementing Oracle's cloud-based Human Capital Management (HCM) System and embarking on a multi-year global initiative to simplify, digitize, and integrate our HR services. As part of this initiative, we will be replacing our North America (US & Canada) PeopleSoft Payroll and Timekeeping platforms. We are seeking candidates for a manager role on our North America Payroll team to drive and support this initiative. Our ideal candidate will 1) have direct experience in implementing and running Oracle's HCM payroll and timekeeping systems and will have transitioned from running the same in PeopleSoft and 2) will have had direct accountability for payroll a large, multi-state and/or multi-national payroll operation. Experience implementing other cloud-based platforms such as Workday will also be considered, especially if the legacy platform was PeopleSoft. Role Summary The North America Payroll Manager role will report to the Head of North America Payroll. The incumbent will build and lead a dedicated team overseeing the implementation of the HCM Payroll and Timekeeping systems, facilitate our NA Payroll team's business readiness for the change and take on a payroll operations leadership role responsible post the implementation. Responsibilities * Key HCM payroll and timekeeping implementation responsibilities include overseeing planning, design, configuration, testing, data conversions, vendor integrations, operational reporting, business readiness and change management. * Oversee the refinement of the 'out of the box' HCM payroll workflows through configurations and/or other technical solutions to maximize efficiency and minimize manual process steps * Develop new, simplified and streamlined payroll and timekeeping processes; create process maps, oversee development of standard operating procedures and associated procedures; develop user learning guides and training. * Oversee analysis, configuration and testing of monthly HCM updates and quarterly releases * Manage the development of the operational reports and audit queries needed to execute our payrolls and monitor HCM performance * Design and deliver metrics, root cause analysis, and implement remediation plans to address deficiencies where appropriate * Ensure the new payroll platform: * Delivers accurate and timely pay in line with our 99.9% SLA * Maintains current fortress level of controls to minimize operational risk and ensure compliance with regulatory and tax guidelines * Operates securely and protects against internal or external threats * Manage and lead the HCM payroll processing team, including training, coaching and motivating team members. Ensure payroll team members have the requisite skills, knowledge and abilities to deliver effectively. * Foster productive strategic partnerships across the HCM Program Management team, internal counterparts in workforce technology, finance, compensation, benefits, HRIS, legal, and corporate tax as well as with our Oracle and our strategic integrator contacts.
