Job Description
Role
In this role, incumbent will spearhead recruitment efforts, and play a crucial role in community initiatives and college campus recruiting to attract top talent to our organization. This position also will support the HR department in a HR generalist capacity.
Accountabilities
Develop, implement, and manage successful recruiting and staffing strategies for both hourly and salary positions. This will include developing a pipeline of candidates within the community (e.g. local/area schools; special interest groups; career fairs; etc.) and college campus recruiting.
Review resumes and applications to identify candidates who meet the qualifications and requirements for each position and assess candidates based on their skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors.
Source applicants through various channels, including job boards, networking events, community partnerships, and college campuses.
Build talent pipelines by proactively building and maintaining relationships with potential candidates for future job openings.
Facilitate and schedule interviews, arrange pre-employment health assessments and background checks.
Facilitate feedback discussions with stakeholders to determine what course of action should be taken with each candidate.
Work with third party recruiters to source candidates and provide timely feedback.
Follow all mill safety goals.
HR Generalist duties; input employee data into HRIS System, Onboarding.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, incumbent must be able to perform each accountability satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field and three to five (3-5) years' related experience. In lieu of degree, five to seven (5-7) years' related experience with proven results.
Proven experience in HR and recruitment roles.
Understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, safety regulations, and community engagement.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members.
Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS software required.
