The Recruiter is responsible for ensuring quality candidates are hired within specified recruiting goals by partnering with hiring managers to understand, develop, and implement specific recruiting strategies and processes. The Recruiter is responsible for the administration of the employment function, legal compliance, working with managers and monitoring staff regarding employment practices.
Essential Functions of the Job:
1.Conducts pre-screening interviews for hiring managers and submits identified candidates to hiring managers for interviewing. May set-up interviews for managers and may participate in in-person interviews.
2.Conducts in-person and telephone Intake Meetings with Hiring Managers to learn recruitment needs, compile screening questions, and set expectations of search results.
3.Partners with managers to evaluate, develop, and implement effective recruitment.
4.Provides consultation to hiring managers on all aspects of recruiting and staffing processes. Communicates regularly with them.
5.Builds and maintains a network with community resources that results in a quality, diverse candidate pool. This includes internet sourcing, attending job fairs and partnering in health care education activities.
6.Ensures candidate's background meets requirements on job descriptions.
7.Ensures RFPs and job descriptions are completed prior to posting an open position.
8.Posts all open positions that are being recruited for on intranet/company web page to allow internal candidates to apply for position.
9.Responsible for setting up appointments for required pre-employment physical and PPDs. Coordinates background checks with candidates and reviews results with supervisor as needed to ensure candidate's eligibility for hire.
10. Reviews applications and notifies supervisor of any potential conflicts before authorizing managers to make an offer.
11. Ensures I-9 documentation is provided within 3 days of hire date.
12. Creates offer letters, obtains required signatures and mails and emails to potential job candidates.
13. Emails HR staff, identified stakeholders and IT notification of all new hires in order to set up employee number, email, extension, ID badge and schedule new hire orientation.
14. Submits new hire information that requires follow up to the HR Coordinator for reporting and follow-up. Forwards all information to HR team to ensure SYHC obligations are met for VISA expirations, referral bonus schedules, and housing allowances and more.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Maintains job opening and accurate information in ATS for the posting report.
2.Assists hiring managers with creation of RFP's as needed.
3.Prepares employment statistics for reports and recruiting metrics dashboard.
4.Coordinates employment activities with all staff and ensures legal compliance.
5.Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Required: BA/BS degree in business administration or related field strongly preferred.
Certifications/Licenses Required: None
Experience Required: 1-2 years of relevant Human Resources or recruitment experience.
Verbal and Written Skills Required to Perform the Job: Must have excellent English speaking and writing skills.
Technical Knowledge and Skills Required to Perform the Job: Must be knowledgeable of employment and wage and hour law.
Equipment Used: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and type at least 40 wpm.
