Job Summary:

The Provider Recruiter is responsible for all aspects of recruitment and staffing for physicians and advanced practice providers in the system to include: physicians, physician assistants, midwives and nurse practitioners. In addition to recruitment, the Provider Recruiter will also assist with onboarding all new providers, that includes partnering with the director, department contacts, and other stakeholders to execute the onboarding process that successfully relocates, orients, and integrates the new physician or advanced practice provider into the practice, hospital, system and broader community.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), internet research and database functionality.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior grammar and proofreading skills.

The ability to work with minimum supervision, set priorities, and follow through to accomplish results.

Valid driver's license required and means of transportation.

Preferred:

Previous recruiting background is preferred with specific knowledge of the medical/physician community.

Active membership in the Association for Advancing Physician and Provider Recruitment (AAPPR).

Superior marketing and public relations skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally to present practice opportunities in a positive manner.

Department Position Summary:

Develops and maintains working knowledge of the health system and regional communities in order to assist with candidate inquiries.

Works with the Director of Provider Recruitment to profile positions and develop practice opportunity descriptions. Attends Provider Recruitment Committee meetings, as needed.

Attends provider career fairs locally, regionally and nationally.

Screen and interview providers for posted positions and make recommendations, when appropriate.

Advertise our opportunities through job boards and various social media platforms.

Maintains a current open list for position openings, and provides monthly updates or as needed by the client. Maintains a weekly status list of all candidates on active searches.

Distribute CV's, candidate summaries, and references to the relevant stakeholders in the organization.

The Provider Recruiter must work well under pressure with tight deadlines and maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Facilitates site visit for the provider candidate and spouse/significant other. This may include but is not limited to making arrangements for travel, lodging, meals, and welcome gift, developing itineraries for physician and spouse and providing transportation, as needed.

Develops and maintains an effective working knowledge of local provider employment agreements, employment process, offer packages, compensation and benefits to answer candidate questions as needed.

Manages costs effectively, audits and submits expenses for approval and payment.

Continually develops and improves upon processes, procedures, policies and techniques to recruit providers. Maintains up to date knowledge and compliance with federal and state fair employment laws and guidelines.

Assists with the documentation needed for the completion of the credentialing process, as needed. This may include but is not limited to references, background check, license verification and other screening as needed.

Assists with candidate reimbursement process for incidental expenses incurred by candidate or spouse.

Assist with the provider relocation, as needed.

Collaborate with stakeholders to successfully plan and monitor onboarding activities including, but not limited to completion of onboarding tasks, itinerary development for their start, and :'check-ins' post hire.

Build relationships by communicating regularly with new physician prior to hire, including sending welcome emails and other communications to keep the candidate informed about credentialing progress, onboarding progression, and plans for their start. Ensure that all administrative and logistical issues have been addressed prior to start date, including but not limited to employee ID and access, computer access and training, online safety training, lab coat, employee health, and development of an itinerary for their start.

Maintain liaison with various Erlanger entities to accomplish onboarding objectives and overcome hurdles. Interface with external organizations or vendors as appropriate to ensure cooperative efforts are enhanced and available resources are utilized.

Coordinate with director with planning and implementation of new provider orientations and other department events.

Distribute post hire surveys and prepare reports on the findings for Director of Provider Recruiter.

Advise director and other relevant stakeholders as to the status of current onboarding activities and additional or expanded program requirements. Make recommendations for solutions to problems identified.

Prepare onboarding reports and conduct preliminary analyses. Provide input into appropriate program recommendations or conclusions.

Participates in other duties and responsibilities as assigned in order to recruit and retain providers.
