About the role:

As the HR Recruiter you are responsible for providing the highest level of staffing services to Hunter Douglas leaders and associates. You will deliver high quality candidates at all levels and help advance the Hunter Douglas brand across numerous markets and professional communities, while guiding hiring managers and candidates through the selection process. You will perform full lifecycle recruiting and maintain excellent relations with hiring managers, candidates, and the community at-large. Utilizing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new creative recruiting ideas are part of the responsibilities of the position. You will review applications and interview applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements to provide information about the organization and the position. A day to day responsibility for the Recruiter is to develop and coordinate internal job posting, write and place job advertising in various Medias. At times you will be expected to work with external recruiters and employment agencies to identify and recruit candidates. You will also be responsible for filling positions for the Hunter Douglas Internship Program.

About you:

You have a strong background in recruiting for direct and indirect labor positions. Recruiting for manufacturing positions is a plus along with having experience increasing a company's candidate pool. You have direct experience with the interview/hiring process from start to finish (i.e. souring, phone screening, multiple panel interviewing, debriefing, offer letter, onboarding, orientation/first day). You must have strong experience with updating requisition reports and know how to input resumes/applications into Applicant Tracking Systems (we use JobVite). Not only are you bilingual in Spanish, but you have strong written and verbal communication skills, you pay attention to detail and have the ability to multitask. You love working in a fast paced environment (Manufacturing environment experience is a plus) and love being a part of a team that likes to work together, have a sense of humor with one another, and hold each other accountable. You are open to giving/receiving feedback, and going the extra mile when it is needed.


A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline. Previous HR Recruiting experience (3-5 years) in a manufacturing environment.


  • Prepare employment offer letters and packets.

  • Perform reference and background screening on applicants.

  • Perform market research for salary data and make recommendations for job offers.

  • Extend offers of employment to selected candidates in accordance with the guidelines of the Hunter Douglas compensation policy.

  • Arrange travel and lodging for out of town candidates. Manages employee relocations.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal regulations including Civil Rights Act, ADA, and FCRA.

  • Partner with the local community Workforce Center to provide a variety of services to assist job seekers, including career counseling and resume assistance, along with outplacement support to employees.

  • File and maintain employment records for future references.

  • Coordinate participation, set up displays, and work at job fairs.

  • Issue check requests for the Employee Referral Program and update spreadsheet to track cost of program.


Solid knowledge of evaluating technical qualifications of a candidate.

Solid knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity and other regulations governing hiring process.

Basic knowledge of working within approved budget and develop/implement cost saving measures.

Basic knowledge of all applicable Federal and State Laws.

Ability to commit to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals.

Ability to take calculated risks to accomplish goals, react well under pressure, prioritizes and plan work activities.

Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office software, Human Resource systems and database software.

Basic knowledge of financial reports and legal documents.

Ability to travel for career fairs and maintain a flexible work schedule.
