Recruiter Opportunity in HR Talent Recruitment

Ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. Three years of recent recruiter experience in Nursing, Allied Health and Research. Candidate must have experience working in a fast-paced, large, complex organization and utilizing an on-line applicant tracking system.

The primary purpose of the Recruiter position is to focus on the full lifecycle recruitment process with overall responsibility for the sourcing, delivery and presentation of qualified candidates. The Recruiter will drive the assessment of external and internal talent to fill MDACC vacancies.

Partners with hiring managers to determine current and future staffing needs. Cultivates relationships with clients and candidates.

Key Functions

  • Responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality recruitment to a group of assigned clients. Knowledgeable of employment market conditions, trends in recruitment, employment law and specific area of assignment.

    Identifies client business objectives with client, the HRGO and the Centers of Excellence. Executes against pre-agreed strategies and goals while aligning the right resources, with the right functions and at the right time.

  • Partners with Talent Advisors to convey a clear understanding of position requirements for pivotal positions so that sourcing efforts are directed to development of candidates with the right skill mix necessary for the position.

  • Provides compensation recommendations to hiring departments based on institutional policy and market data. Extend and negotiate formal offer. Demonstrates awareness of salary trends and brings relevant information to Compensation for review.

  • Builds and maintains relationships and business partnerships with hiring managers, HR colleagues, external organizations, and candidates. Manages external vendors and agencies to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and practices.

  • Ensures accurate and current records in ATS throughout the recruitment process to include tracking of all activity. Ensures new hire paperwork is completed in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Demonstrates initiative and facilitates the resolution of departmental and divisional issues without prompting.

JOB SPECIFIC:

Problem Solving Demonstrates initiative and facilitates the resolution of departmental and divisional issues without prompting.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. Three years of professional Human Resources experience in a fast-paced, large and complex organization. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Provides employee relations support for needs such as organizational development, performance management, coaching/counseling, and separations; * Investigates reported incidents, makes recommendations and conclusions; * Program manages legal aspects of the hiring / background screening process and serves as contact to third party vendor.; * Facilitates management compliance of company hiring and employee relations protocols; * Tracks and manages employee relations data for presentation and trend analysis purposes; * Supports secondary stage of workers' compensation which includes return to work program, report analysis, research claims, and correspond with insurance provider and employees; * Responds to inquiries for outsourced unemployment administrator and attends hearings; * Reviews job requisitions received from hiring Managers and ensures appropriate approval is received before beginning recruitment activities; * Acts as liaison with HR Coordinators, Managers and candidates for job postings, background checks, candidate communication, testing, and interview requests; provides feedback, negotiates offers and sets up for hire; * Expands recruitment territory and applies daily sourcing strategy through the use of online networking sites, diversity advertising, search licenses, and college relations to identify a diverse slate of candidates for open requisitions; * Maintains applicant tracking data in the system throughout the job track process; * Makes recommendations to hiring Managers and Executives, supporting and advising to help leadership follow procedures; * Maintains virtual recruitment folder for each candidate in the interview process; * Conducts initial telephone screen or in person interviews as required; * Provides HR support during acquisition integration; * Applies lean process / continuous improvement principals to streamline processes; * Other duties as assigned.
