East Tennessee State University, College of Nursing, Department of Student Services is accepting applications for a full-time Recruiter position.

The Recruiter, reporting to the Assistant Dean of Student Services, represents the College of Nursing (CON) in recruiting prospective students for nursing education pathways, including undergraduate and graduate programs. This position actively engages with a diverse audience, including middle school, high school, college students, and professionals seeking advanced nursing education. The role involves extensive travel across Tennessee, the southeast region, and other locations as needed to coordinate recruitment visits, deliver presentations, participate in fairs, and provide admissions counseling.

This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities requiring analysis, judgment, and adherence to professional standards. Work is guided by objectives and expected outcomes under limited supervision. The Recruiter evaluates prospective students' situations to identify areas of concern, referring individuals to appropriate resources for issues beyond their scope of expertise while ensuring compliance with institutional policies and procedures. The Recruiter plays a critical role in advancing the CON's mission by fostering a strong pipeline of qualified applicants to meet the growing demand for nursing professionals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • One (1) year of experience as a recruiter or admissions experience.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in higher education.
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
