This is an exhilarating time to join the High Flying Foods Family! We are currently in search of an experienced, knowledgeable, and excellence-oriented Recruiting Coordinator to join the Human Resources Team! This is not a remote position; this role is located in Sausalito, California with local and multi-state travel required.

  • 1+ years experience in recruitment, staffing or human resources required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field required

  • Experience working with union environment strongly preferred

  • Experience working in hospitality industry strongly preferred

  • Experience with human resources project management strongly preferred

  • Must have knowledge and thorough understanding of Federal, State and local labor laws

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook required

  • Must be able to consistently travel to local and non-local hiring events

  • Must be able to transport large recruiting materials to recruiting events

  • Must be passionate about hiring, HR, and collaborating with various teams

  • Must possess active listening skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Must have the ability to anticipate company needs, potential conflicts and risk

  • Must have the ability to exercise good judgement and display exceptional decision-making skills

  • Must possess the ability to interact with people at all levels and develop rapport with individuals in different restaurant locations.

  • Must have a strong work ethic, impeccable interpersonal and organizational skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Must possess the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

  • Must have the ability to prioritize and re-prioritize multiple tasks and work efficiently

  • Must be able to work both as a team player and independently

  • Must be able to sit, stand and walk for duration of shift

  • Must be able to move hands, arms and wrists repetitively throughout duration of the shift


  • Manage full cycle recruitment for all airport and nonairport restaurant concepts

  • Post job advertisements on various job sites

  • Recruit qualified candidates using various recruiting tools

  • Coordinate and conduct phone and in-person interviews

  • Conduct reference and background checks

  • Send offer packages and extend job offers

  • Conduct new hire orientation as needed

  • Develop job descriptions

  • Work with both HR and Operations Teams to assess and anticipate staffing needs

  • Manage employee offboarding process including exit interviews

  • Seek out and maintain community organization relationships to increase exposure of vacant roles

  • Support with airport badging practices and enforcement

  • Ensure legal compliance with Federal, State and local laws and assess company risk

  • Maintain and audit employee files, I-9 forms, and other related documentation

  • Perform Human Resources projects during times of low staffing needs.

Must be able to pass a Criminal Records History Check and Security Threat Assessment (STA) to obtain an airport-issued badge and show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
