The Recruiter is responsible for building sound relationships with field staff, generating referrals and prospecting new candidates to increase revenue and profitability. The Recruiter must meet company and client expectations for producing quality candidates for open job orders. They must provide excellent customer service while meeting the goals and needs of field personnel.


  • Exceed branch based goals to maintain and increase quality candidate pool and fill rate.

  • Convert recruits to working candidates by working closely with branch personnel to place new hires.

  • Develop and plan prospecting strategies to pursue new avenues for recruiting candidates; utilize a variety of tools (i.e., email, telephone, social media) to establish relationships and expand applicant pool.

  • Ensure candidate and/or client concerns are resolved in a timely manner; uphold our Company's reputation by demonstrating standards of excellence.

  • Maintain database with accurate candidate contact information, qualifications and selling points; ensure all communication with candidate is documented.

  • Perform reference and background checks on applicants.

  • Attend staffing meetings, staffing oriented training, trade shows, conventions, job and career fairs, workshops and other company/client-sponsored events.

  • Conduct facility visits as needed and conduct regular competitive shops in the local market.

  • Maintain and update candidate files to adhere to both Cross Country and facility credentialing requirements.

  • Audit facility compliance to ensure the scheduled field associates have the appropriate information.

  • Provide suggestions for marketing, advertisement placement in journals, internet job boards, and direct mail.

  • Complete weekly staffing reports and work on recruiting projects as requested.

  • Take rotational call as designated.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Minimum one year of related experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.

  • Must possess an average skill set in full cycle recruiting, including sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, legal, relationship management and due diligence.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekend hours, as needed.

We are currently seeking a Senior Recruiter to be based in our Seattle office. This is a NEW position. This position reports functionally to the Talent Acquisition Manager in Calgary, and operationally to the local Buildings operational leaders. The individual will support the employees of these groups located in Seattle and area. This is a specialist role designed to partner with and support the Buildings client group in order to meet their Talent Acquisition needs, while being supported by and operating under the strategic direction of corporate HR. This is a 'hands on,' operationally-focused advisory role which will rapidly grow into a more strategic HR role as the entire HR team grows and evolves while delivering our People Strategy, and as you develop credibility with the client group leaders. The Senior Recruiter will be the key 'go to person' for all their client group's Talent Acquisitions needs. A key focus of this role in the first year will be supporting the rapid growth of these teams through: support recruitment, candidate assessment of new hires, onboarding, and supporting the development of team culture. About The Role Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, the Senior Recruiter is responsible for attracting and recruiting internal and external candidates to job positions within the company through engaging with various sources, including advertising, external sourcing, market intelligence, and university / college campuses, with the goal of effectively and efficiently delivering high quality candidates to the hiring manager. As a Senior Recruiter at Graham you will: * Implement and execute recruitment strategy for assigned geographical regions, subdivisions, or functions. * Establish and develop talent pools for future job positions that may otherwise be difficult to fill. * Attract and engage candidates, identify skill sets that are in short supply, and develop market strategies for specific skill sets and / or individuals. * Establish and build relationships with candidates, hiring stakeholders, and team members. * Set reasonable expectations and maintain communication with the hiring manager, senior leadership, and other stakeholders, keeping everyone informed and up-to-date throughout the hiring process. * Conduct initial candidate phone screens and manage candidates throughout the hiring process, including preparing, negotiating, and closing the offer. * Conduct pre-employment checks, including background and reference checks, and education verifications, as required by the hiring manager. * Establish and manage relationships with third-party recruitment agency partners. To be Successful at Graham, you will have the following qualifications and experience: or Qualifications/Experience: * Degree in Business or a related field is preferred. * 5+ years of experience working in a recruitment role or related, including previous experience recruiting in a professional services construction environment. * Previous agency experience is an asset. * Demonstrated ability to actively pursue passive candidates, and conduct research into competitors and geographical areas. * Experience working with LinkedIn Recruiter. * Most of the work is completed in the Seattle office, however some travel may occasionally be required.
