Job Description

Liberty Healthcare is hiring for a new full-time Recreation Therapist position at the Robert M. Greer Center in Enid, OK.

The Robert M. Greer Center is a specialized intermediate care facility which provides short-term residential treatment to adults who have intellectual disabilities and behavioral support needs.

Now is a great time to join Liberty's team, as our clinical team is expanding and we anticipate moving into a new state of the art facility in the near future!

As a Recreation Therapist, your day to day work will involve:

• Delivering high quality therapeutic recreation services to adults

• Using therapeutic recreation to effectively promote clients' independence and pro-social behaviors

• Developing and leading a wide array of therapeutic recreation activities for individuals and groups - including physical activities, creative arts as well as special events and programs

• Organizing safe and appropriate facility-based and community-based activities

• Serving as a contributing member of an interdisciplinary treatment team

• Collaborating with other Recreation Therapists and a wide array of clinical and ancillary professionals

You have the option of working either Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday. Some evening hours are required.

As a full-time employee of Liberty in this role, you can expect:

• $60,000 per year (paid $28.89 per hour)

• $4,000 sign-on bonus (paid in installments throughout first year of employment)

Skills & Requirements

You are a good fit for this position if you possess the following:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (or a related field)
• Certification by the National Council from for Therapeutic Recreation Certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) - or eligibility and willingness to obtain this credential within the next 12 months
