A Recreation Leader II plans, promotes and conducts center-wide recreational activities.Work of this class involves no supervisory duties or responsibilities.
Incumbents receive moderate supervision from a technical superior.Employees in this class work a conventional workweek which may include evening and weekend hours.Work is performed in recreation centers, athletic fields and other facilities where inclement weather conditions may be encountered.Work requires moderate physical exertion.

EDUCATIONS:Have graduated from an accredited high school or possession of a GED certificate.
EXPERIENCE:Havethree years of experience in leading recreational activities.
NOTES (EQUIVALENCIES): Have six months of additional experience in leading recreational activities may be substituted for each year of the high school requirement.A bachelor's degree in recreation, physical education or a related field from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the experience requirement.
