JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision and direction of the Site Director and Recreation Supervisor, the recreation leader will assist with the planning, directing, implementation, and evaluation of the Before and After School Program. The H-F Park District's mission statement is "to enhance the quality of life through diverse recreational opportunities, facilities and parks while caring for the environment".
SALARY:
Starting $15/hr
HOURS:
Program runs each school day M-F, folowing the school district calendars
AM Club Staff Hours: 6:30am-8:15am, M-F
PM Staff Hours: 3:00-6:00pm, M-F
Please note: You do not have to work both AM and PM hours. You can choose one or the other or both. We can be flexible and work with your schedule.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide outstanding customer service to our internal and external guests by providing friendly, responsive, courteous and helpful service.
Assist with the planning, directing, implementation, and evaluation of camp programs and activities.
Plan, direct and participate in camp activities including arts and crafts, games, sports, and nature activities.
Guide, direct, and motivate campers.
Provide a safe environment for all campers.
Be cordial and courteous to the public.
Inform Site Director of all camp happenings.
Assist with record keeping including attendance, accident, and emergency forms.
Attend all staff meetings (camp site and camp-wide).
Adhere to the policies and procedures as outlined in the staff manuals and trainings.
Other related job duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
Must be at least 16 years old.
Experience working with children.
CPR/AED Certification or the willingness to become certified.
